Rooms are good sea views a plenty. But but but the food and the entertainment are brilliant. We came for a night before moving on. Staff were friendly and inviting. Couldn't ask for a better stop over. ||Issues no dedicated parking its all on street. The lift only goes to 2 floors. But all that aside 4 stars 🌟

All the staff are very pleasant&welcoming. Harry is a very hardworking young man & went out of his to make, our stay a comfortable one. Food is lovely & cooked nicely. The decor downstairs is very nice. The view from our seafront bedroom was just Wow. Bedroom comforable, could do with a lick of paint.

Decent spacious room for a solo traveller. Had a nice size TV with on demand services and enough tea and coffee to last a few days, which is rare to find in other hotels. The room was nice and clean, and the staff were nice and helpful. The view out the window wasn't the best as it just showed the back area, which makes a bit of racket at night if it's windy. It did, however, face a big hill in the distance, which, funny enough, I went up the next day and saw the hotel from the top. The only thing I didn't like was the mattress, it was comfy, but it has slanted to one side over time with everyone sitting on the side, so the side near the wall was higher than the other side. Felt like I was about to roll off the bed through the night.Room was nice and quiet, didn't hear any other guests whilst in the room. Walk outside, and you are greeted with the sea side. One of the pictures I included is from the top of a mountain looking down, the building in blue is the hotel.

Back in July me, my nieces and nephews went to Barmouth Beach. We watched the sunset and then heading back home, had an electric car where the charge ran low and with no nearby fast charging points. We were stranded on Barmouth Beach and ended sleeping in the car in the big park car park as no available hotels. We ended up at Sandbanks Hotel at 5:30am in the morning needing somewhere warm to sit and toilet access before they served breakfast. Adam very kindly let us sit in the hotel whilst we waited for breakfast. He is was so kind, caring and very compassionate. He made the kids feel safe and comfortable. The hospitality from Adam and the team was first class. He set up our breakfast table by the windows giving a lovely sea view. Which is what we needed after sleeping in the car all night. Highly recommend them. A** in people skills. Adam you were great 🌟Thank you Adam from me and the kids.Note: can't comment on rooms as we didn't stay there.

We stayed there for two nights on the Friday and the Sunday. Staff are lovely and friendly and our rooms had a great view of the beautiful beach and seafront. Beds were lovely and comfortable. …

I've stayed here previously under old management when it had bean neglected. After a number of years closed it us now under new ownership. The downstairs area has been smartened up and more modern. The bedrooms I believe are still a work in progress which isneeded. This hotels biggest assets are its staff. All very very helpful and friendly. Harry is exceptional and 100 % in the right career in hospitality.

Friendly staff, but the rest left much to be desired. The mattress on the bed was completely knackered - the springs were very obvious, the bed was lumpy, and there was only one pillow. …

Fabulous location; right on the seafront with fabulous views across the sand dunes whether in our top floor room, or from the bar/restaurant or the internal porch where guests can sit with a panad & watch the waves. The dog was made to feel welcome, location meant she only had to cross the road to find herself on the sand, which she adored first thing each morning of our stay.Although the children loved our room and the novelty of the sea view, decoration wasn't finished to a good standard.Friendly staff & a relaxed, homely atmosphere downstairs. Reasonable bar. Breakfast was enjoyable for me, although the children weren't impressed at not being able to have a traditional breakfast - they had to choose 4 singular items from the normal full english line up, meaning they had very little on their plates which was a tragedy for them!We had a very enjoyable stay, making our stop in Barmouth while travelling from north to south Wales one we want to experience again next year!

Our room was much smaller than online photos suggested, and quite dated, and the lack of bedside tables/reading lights/sockets for charging was surprising, BUT we asked for a sea view, and we definitely got that, there were tea & coffee facilities in the room (always welcome), the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Best of all, we were literally minutes from the fabulous Barmouth Beach.

Just went in for the karaoke and entertainment which was good. The hotel itself has been relatively recently brought back to life. Great to see a big old Barmouth building revitalised. Feel it could become quite tired quite quickly though. More investment needed to get it to the next level and turn it into a sustainable business
