This place is a must stay. It takes a couple of minutes to get over the entrance, but don't let that fool you, the rooms are very clean and cozy, the workers at the front desk were so amazingly polite. You have full access into the hotel from the city centre at any time, you are provided tea and coffee amendment. We were put on the top floor and apart few stairs it takes to get there after a busy day, out view wasn't as bad as some we have previously stayed at. This is a perfect hotel if you want that cozy feeling, but don't want to spend loads. 10/10 would recommend. We spent most of our time outside of the hotel, but looked forward to being able to stay inside.

We were due to stay two nights last week Tuesday to Thursday, the staff we met were lovely and friendly and we really can’t fault them, however the room we had was dusty, the table was sticky, the bed was tiny with paper thin pillows, paper peeling off the walls and ceiling, the bathroom was bigger than the actual room, on arrival there was hair on the toilet and in the sink with mould around the bath taps!!!! The hotel looks beautiful online and it was a change than the usual chain we use but it is outdated and not what it seems online, it was supposed to be a relaxing getaway for myself and my partner, after i got really upset we left early the Wednesday morning and came home, if it wasn’t for the fact that we just wanted to get out of there we would’ve queried a refund!! Again the staff are lovely but the hotel itself not so much!!

This is a great independent hotel right in the centre of Cardiff. It feels like a favourite, well worn jumper... a bit scruffy but clean and comfortable.  …

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. With its central location, it is extremely well situated to take advantage of Cardiff, and its proximity to the main bus and train stations makes it an ideal hub for venturing out on day trips further …

This is a gem of a hotel in the middle of Cardiff. You can not ask for a better location. Minutes from the train station and surrounded by all the restaurants, shops and sights you want. The hotel is old, but not run down. It has personality and charm. Everything works and it's very clean. The owners are the friendlies people you can imagine and you feel instantly welcome.I can't wait to visit again.

Absolutely amazing. When we walked in for the first time it immediately felt familiar like walking into a relatives home and the staff were friendly, kind and super helpful. The bed was so comfy I damn near took it home and I had to ask where they get the mattresses from. You can hear the city but it feels like having the radio on. It's close to the train station in a blink and you'll miss it part of the street. I'd definitely recommend.

A lot of stairs but in a great location. Stayed here for 3 nights. Stairs are an issue only if you have bulky luggage. Castle or the stadium both are a stone's throw away.Comfortable beds and nice windows. Comes with a kettle and nice bathroom. Host was wonderful and gave local tips. Location would be noisy outside but doesn't impact so much. Sleep quality was great. Loved the stay.

Yes, it is a 2 star hotel, and there are many stairs. But the rooms are clean, the bed was comfy, the shower was hot, and the people are absolutely fantastic. I can't rate them highly enough.I stayed 2 nights in Cardiff before moving on through the UK, and I would have happily stayed longer. Very convenient location and a great base to explore Cardiff from. I will happily book again if I ever get the chance to visit Cardiff again, from Australia. Thanks so much, guys.

Another great stay - all staff were fantastic and the room was splendid! A nice firm bed this time, which was much better than the soft one that caused issues last time. …

We stayed for the night and night after the Billy Joel concert. It's quite basic, but as it's a family run hotel, everyone there was all happy and smiles.  …
