Stayed 3 nights, the room was lovely, nice bed, bath in the room. Lots of amenities but no safe. The hotel is old, creaky and quaint. …

My recent stay at The Castle Hotel, Conwy, was nothing short of a dream come true. Located within the historic walls of Conwy, the hotel’s charm and character instantly made me feel as though I had stepped into a fairytale. With stunning views of Conwy Castle from my room, the blend of history and beauty was truly magical.I stayed in Room 117, a Junior Suite that perfectly combined modern luxury with the building’s timeless charm. The room featured all the amenities you’d expect in 2024, while maintaining a classic elegance. The large bath in the bedroom added a touch of indulgence and sophistication, yet was also very practical. The attention to detail was exceptional—branded ducks by the bath, a coffee machine for a perfect cup, and soft classical music playing from a vintage-style radio. It all created a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. The hotel’s bar, with its roaring log fire, was warm and inviting. The staff were not only friendly but also entertaining, making for a delightful experience. The food served in the bar was delicious, reasonably priced, and arrived promptly—a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.Breakfast in the main restaurant was another highlight. With a cooked breakfast made to order from an excellent menu offering something for everyone, the quality was exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the Spanish Eggs, which were full of flavour and beautifully prepared.I truly cannot wait to return to The Castle Hotel. From the historic charm and stunning views to the excellent service and thoughtful touches, everything about my stay was exceptional. For anyone looking for a magical experience in the heart of Conwy, this is the place to be.

Four of us on holiday with our two dogs. We had no booking but were quickly found a table in a cosy room. Had the best roast lamb meal we had all ever had. A triumph. The dessert menu was excellent. | We enjoyed our sticky toffee puddings, creme brulee and ice creams. A truly lovely experience. Many thanks

Stayed here for a few nights. It’s a very pretty building, however the room didn’t have any ventilation so it was boiling in there. The staff were all very pleasant and the location is perfect for site seeing the town. Parking might be dicey if you have a larger car, as you need to squeeze it through the archway if the parking is being used on the front, which it was when we arrived. There were bigger cars than ours back there though. I would stay here again but in a bigger room next time.

Stopped in for an early Guinness after an amazing visit to the Conwy Castle. Nestled nearby beneath the castle among the touristy shops and venues. Amy was an attentive barmaid. The bar was clean, had a nice street view and a quiet sitting room. Cold bee and reasonable prices. Recommended for a quick pop in swig and go.

While I did not stay at this hotel, I did have dinner here at their restaurant and it was fantastic. Both my mom and I had the haddock risotto dish and we both loved it. We shared the sticky toffee pudding and devoured it. The wine list was pretty extensive as well. Good ambience and service also. Would highly recommend!
