I can't speak for the rooms, just the spa and restaurant but it's awesome. My friend and I got cheap vouchers for use of the spa plus afternoon tea and had a great time. The staff were great with our dietary needs and the amount of food was very generous, we could have easily shared one between us if we didn't have conflicting dietary needs :)

Stayed for 4 weeks Mon - Fri for work. The rooms are comfortable with everything you need. Customer services were great when I had an issue, it was sorted and reassurance was given quickly. The restaurant staff were amazing; always smiling, polite and very helpful with multiple patrons. There are many restaurants nearby to get a variety of food, but the chicken burgers at the Mercure are some of the best I've had. I really enjoyed my stay here.

The hotel room needs some upgrade. The bathroom was perfect though. Front desk was very helpful and so too was the kitchen staff. The meal from the restaurant was not so tasty but the hotel is located walking distance to the city center and other surrounding areas with lots of eatery which is ideal.

My friend and I booked the spa sometime ago, easy to book and good communication. The pool and spa area is also used by gym members, mostly men who took up the pool talking in groups, also the jacuzzi. Once they left it was a better experience. The treatment area is very relaxing with complimentary tea and coffee. We were made very welcome our treatment ladies and it was a great massage and facial. The cream tea was very nice and nothing was too much trouble. We were very well looked after by Trushali, what a lovely girl and a great asset to the hotel. We will definately return.

My new favourite hotel in Cardiff! We were celebrating our first anniversary, so treated ourselves to a Prestige room. The photos on their website does not do this place any justice. The room was absolutely stunning and has been completely renovated and updated compared to the marketing photos. They went the extra mile for our anniversary, rose petals on the bed, two Welsh Cakes with a note to say Happy Anniversary and two drink vouchers. We will definitely be back, and have recommended the hotel to friends and family. Thank you for making our stay so special.

Spa review. 5 star Mollie and her team are amazing, helpful and friendly made me feel welcome and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my two treatments upstairs is beautiful the relax room is perfect. Thanks to Mollie!!!Overall review.Really disappointed 😞 paid extra for privilege room. No slippers. Had to ask and only one drink in the complimentary mini bar so had to ask to restock.Ordered breakfast to the room. 4 items were missing despite being clearly marked on the order form. Breakfast was Luke warm and the fruit was dreadful was definitely pre frozen it had gone slimy. Hotel did refund.fair enough.Evening meal, again not great. Had to give our order twice as the server misplaced it. The waitress was full of a cold and was sniffing and snotting whilst taking our order and then touching plates of food which was disgusting. The service charge was not deserved but couldn't be bothered to raise yet another issue. We put the do not disturb on thr door and we're disturbed twice by room maids letting themselves in!

The entrance and welcome was lovely. The room was clean and tidy. However the bed wasn't nice at all. One side was comfortable but the other was like a bowl and uncomfortable. …
