Amazing food at a decent price. Had some chips as a side and the price was perhaps a little steep but they were good!! Staff were fantastic with us and our dogs who had trays and water and a friendly greeting! The mixed grill was fantastic, we'll certainly be returning!

very expensive for tiny portions and food that wasn’t cooked properly. Went for food with some friends and we ordered fish and chips, when they arrived the chips were frozen, the fish was disgusting and everything on the side was too. we were offer 2 main meals for free, so we ordered mac and cheese, and a MEDIUM rare steak. the steak took 40/50 minutes to cook and was in a rush to get home aswell. when the steak arrived it was rare/ not cooked properly. the person who was eating refused to eat it and asked for the manager as we were very disappointed! the manager then followed with the following statement “they just want free food”. the manager was very rude when she forced us to pay for the fish and chips even though it wasn’t cooked at all. we were willing to pay for the other food but not the steak and the fish and chips. She then said we were ‘causing a scene’ when all we wanted to do was pay for the food that was actually cooked properly. I really wouldn’t recommend this place at all unless you want to go for a few drinks. the chefs weren’t even chefs, they were teenagers who can’t cook by the seems of it. no words to describe how bad it was here. the waitress are absolutely lovely and need a better place to work, where they deserve. for the chefs and manager, they need to be sacked. We left starving and the manager made insignificant comments when we left such as: “bye bye” “don’t come back” and “hope you enjoyed your food” all with a smile on her face. i have now woken up this morning trying to get ready feeling very sick and running to the toilet most of the day!Don’t go to this place unless you want to leave feeling sick to your stomach or left with salmonella!

Four if us went for mothering Sunday. We all had the carvery. Considering the amount of people eating at the same time the service was excellent. The carvery was hot, served quickly and a good selection of veg. The sweets were a little disappointing. We had Eaton mess and ice cream. The cheesecake had all gone. All mum's had a 5 pound voucher. I can't wait to go back to spend it!.

We went new years eve for a meal food was good, needed more staff on as going to be busiest night and their was 2 members behind bar one serving. All i can say it was a shambles.Plus management had done new years eve menus which said from 7 - 9 happy hour. When we questioned it, the management said they hadn't had time to put it on till. In that case management you need to sort yourselves out as the staff was getting the grief for something you should of done.

Dated decor and a little grubby in places, very small bathroom and the shower pressure is virtually none existent. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were awful. The church across the road let's you know what time it is every 15 minutes which isn't great. The walls are very thin and I could hear someone snoring all night last night. So yeah, don't want to stay there again. The service in the pub is slow but the food is excellent and they pull a good pint. All in all it wasn't great and I can't wait to get home.

Excellent carvery. Beef was roasted to perfection and food delicious, so good to have a traditional cauliflower cheese and my daughter said the chicken was also excellent. Same to be said for starters, especially the soup. Friendly, unobtrusive and professional service. Highly recommend!
