Felt truly spoilt here, with Mary & Gary, the most wonderful hosts! Gave great advice & tips on visiting places & prebooking things in advance. Wanted to stay longer, but were unsuprisingly fully booked. Room, immaculate & spacious. …

What a beautiful house to stay in during our short break in the area. As soon as we arrived our friendly hosts Gary and Mary offered us tea and cake whilst we unpacked. …

The proprietors Gary and Mary offered such a warm and friendly welcome. The rooms are stunning and we sat outside on the patio on each of the 3 evenings we stayed there. The breakfasts were amazing served with a smile. They made recommendations about where to dine- these were spot on as my hubby and I are fully fledged foodies. Really, really enjoyed the stay and will be returning for certain. THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR BREAK SO PERFECT.

Selected primarily on location for the area - not visited before. Seemed a good base to have as located within easy reach of a number of places of interest. …

We spent three nights in Penaber while we were walking the coast path. Gary and Mary were extremely hospitable, going out of their way to be helpful. We loved the coffee and bara brith on arrival. Breakfasts were delicious too, The house is lovely, and our room was very big and comfortable. It's good value for money too.

I had to make a flying visit to the area to assist my son who's walking Land' End to John o' Groats via the three peaks as his tent had been damaged in bad weather and needed to find a base for a couple of days. Considering the short notice and high season we were very fortunate to find a room available at Penabar. It is a wonderful property with lovely rooms and an amazing breakfast - but what makes it truly exceptional are the owners Gary and Mary. Welcoming, friendly and very accommodating - they even offered to wash my son's rather suspect camping clothes for him! Certainly above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you so much for making our visit so memorable and I hope the birth of your newest grandchild went well.

We have just returned home after our second stay at Penaber. This time we were in Room 3. Once again our stay was perfection. Gary and Mary are the perfect (yes, that word again!) hosts. So kind and helpful.  …
