We’re staying nearby and wanted to eat out at a local restaurant.Elen’s castle had been recommended to us by our host.Really great food, the lamb shank with mint gravy was was amazing. The kids meals were spot on, not a dot left. The desserts were classics and well made. The bar staff were top notch, even going so far as to lend us a pack of cards to play as we arrived before they started dinner service.Really highly recommend.

Managed to get a night here after our campsite was flooded. Absolutely beautiful place to stay and the owners were so friendly. The room was very comfortable, and it had a bath! Felt like luxury. The evening meal was delicious and breakfast was good. Will definitely return.

Stunning location, superb breakfast, quiet, bedrooms very clean and the beds comfy but a bit small if your tall like me because they have wooden footboards so you can't stick your feet out the end of the bed. Bath was nice n big for a lovely soak. And Adam the owner was very friendly.

I was part of a group of girls that stayed for 2 nights. I had the double budget room, which had beautiful views of the baby lambs and gorgeous scenery.I had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, the apple pie was delicious..and we also stayed for some drinks in the bar. The fire was lit and it was really cosy, and the local people are chatty and friendly. Thanks to Adam & Helen for my stay. 😊

Had a meal in the restaurant - and were the only table, which is not the most encouraging of signs, but it was mid-week. Could well be that the restaurant is packed to the rafters at weekends.  …
