Loved this B&B. The owners work hard to make you feel welcome, the breakfast is great, and it's great value. I've already booked for next month!

Location is fab - room was okay except bed is VERY squeaky. No curtains, only blinds, so gets very light in the morning. Breakfast was lovely - and we got an Easter egg too :)

We visit Rhos quite a bit and normally stay at the Danilton or the Travelodge. This time we priced up the Northwood. According to their tariff at £70 per night (See attached) it seemed reasonable as it included a cooked Welsh breakfast. My wife rang the owner to book and was quoted £50 per night for a double room. When we arrived we were told there was a misunderstanding and that the room rate would be £90 per night. I explained that I had seen the rate as £70 per night but when I looked at the booking site on-line it gave £80 per night. Apparently the rate they tried to charge us was because it was a triple room which we never asked for. Anyway we settled on £80 per night, determined to give the place a chance. The guest house is quite sad and in bad need of some TLC, both inside and out (as mentioned in other reviews). The carpets are stained, the walls have marks on, broken tiles in the en-suite, a really thin and uncomfortable spring mattress, blinds that do not keep the room dark at night etc. As for the "Welsh breakfast" we were very unimpressed and only had it once. If you walk down to a cafe in Rhos you can get a far superior breakfast with a drink for about £10. I am not sure where they are sourcing their ingredients but it was not nice. Overall, the other guests we met seemed happy enough with the standards and seem to be regular users of the place but we most definitely would not stay there again!

We booked for 4 nights at The Northwood, however we only stayed for 1 night we couldn't stand anymore, this place is shocking, on arrival there's a large mouldy patch in the entrance hall that's really smelly, our room had wallpaper hanging off the ceiling, no wardrobe doors, filthy bathroom tiles with grout missing, no working central heating, mould all around the shower tray, no working light inshower area, stains on carpet, cupboard door missing off sink, brown rim around the toilet, grease on grease on grease in the kitchen, avoid this place it's awful plus if you use booking.com they refuse to refund any money for nights not taken, I can't stress enough that this place is awful.

We took our dog away for a few days the breakfast was great and freshly cooked each day. The rooms are fairly basic but quite big and had everything you needed and the hosts were great and Rhos on Sea had everything you need for a weekend break. Some lovely shops and pubs and great for walking with a dog friendly beach nearby. Look forward to going again. Good value for money. Thank you.

Had a really lovely, relaxing few days away at the Northwood. Very friendly, easy going, very dog friendly. Little extras in the room too which we thought was great. The dogs had a sausage every morning which was lovely !! Right by the beach and quaint little shops. Easy access to everywhere . Will definitely be going back. Thank you Sandy and David
