The quality of drinks we had was very good. Staff were attentive and friendly. Even though the quality of the food we had was amazing - very fresh ingredients for example and high quality, I can’t see how the prices are so high for a venue which is nice, however a pub and not a ‘high end’ venue. This is my reason for not being 5 star, however I will visit again.

** did not stay just popped in for food**but I'm sure the rooms are as lovely as the restaurant!Came in with the dog sat in the bar area first then moved to the other side, everyone was extremely welcoming, friendly, and so lovely, nothing was an issue, and everyone was really nice! The food might seem pricey, but for the quality and quantity you get, it's definitely amazing prices as the food is absolutely unreal!

Spent 5 nights in Dolgellau, and so far, we've eaten here on 3 evenings. I've had something different each time, and all have been superb. They have a nice, varied menu, and everything has been beautifully prepared and presented, good tasty food for a very reasonable price.Staff have been really friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere with plenty of locals eating here too. They also have a good range of ales and beers on tap!Don't miss this place, you won't be disappointed!

Frank Kafka recommended a visit , I took the video camera and a bag of Marggie Herbert’s … then sat back and chilledWe invited Nico to sing a couple of wilfully obscure songs accompanied by her harmonium. Then one of the Bertrand Russell twins necked a bottle of cake oilTo top it off I swear I saw one of the dogs from Blue Peter (tv show )Would definitely revisit if in the area
