We have come out for a meal apparently on one of the busiest weekends of the year! With the new management It is clear that they have been run off their feet and maybe didn't expect how busy this night was going to be. We had no wait to get our table. The young lady serving us was so polite and the food was amazing! We would definitely come again ❤️

Hotel is generally okay. Rooms were comfortable, clean and had all we needed. The car park is, however, very small and can't accommodate all guests cars. …

To be fair, this building is very old. But very little maintenance has been done for a long time. The staff were friendly and are trying hard but the whole place is run down. Floors in the bar are sticky so are the tables. …

This hotel is very well positioned within Llangollen and for us it was a good choice for leaving the car and exploring. The building is old and as such all the little quirks and imperfections are expected. …

The service here is always personal and friendly. My partner and I came here for Sunday lunch. The food quality is excellent. They have an extensive wine selection.Highly recommended. The machel starter was particularly fantastic.Unfortunately we were too full to have a desert.

Very disappointing on every level. A tatty place that looks grim from outside and tired and untouched inside. Reception is in what feels like a store room with boxes and bottles of wine all over, empty boxes and no atmosphere. …

My friend and I were on a driving weekend in Wales and booked a one night stay at Gales. The bedroom was ok, but a little more shabby than shabby chic. The bed was comfortable but the room was too hot at night.  …
