Great food, drinks, staff and rooms.Really good menu, something for everyone, vegans well catered for, ask to see the menu, it isn't on display otherwise the meat eaters choose items off it, it's that good!Top tip, book a table, it's very popular! The staff are great; professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped and very clean. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a quieter room.Plenty to do in the local area.We will book again!

Just food and drink.Had a really good meal here yesterday, couldn't fault it. Really good menu and selection of drinks. Our food came out in good time, and everything was cooked well.Tempura sole and chips was delicious. Steak and ale pie was the same. The chips and gravy were really tasty. Overall really impressed and look forward to a return visit and will try some of the others in the chain.

Food is amazing.Been here a couple of times whilst on holiday.First time was for Sunday lunch which was delightful with lots of meat and plenty of home roast potatoesSecond visit.... decided to have a burger.... Best decision I made this holiday ! Oh wow what a burger! Huge burger more than I could eat. As for the chips we'll these are next level chips, chunky crisp and fluffy middle and homemade...

Service was okay at the table but lacking at the bar, most likely due to it being a busy Friday night. We weren't told we had to order at the bar, so we were left hanging for a while until we realized. But the food was delivered quickly and efficiently. When it did arrive, the chips were so good, but Sole was a little like freezer fish. Eating the scampi and chips from a basket was also odd, but you do get a plate, so I did decant my scampi and chips. Overall, I would give it another go, maybe on a quiet night, and wouldn't order the sole again.

Really nice pub. Beautifully presented and very comfortable.||Husband had a very generous salad with salmon and I had a very nice Welsh rarebit. The chips looked lovely but we were being good.||We were only disappointed that we arrived too late to get a table at the lovely outside seating area – maybe next time.

What a great pub! A family of 10 including 4 children ate Sunday lunch here and it was absolutely fantastic. The portion sizes were generous and every one of us enjoyed our meals. …

Wonderful pub! I visited here for a few drinks in the beer garden and a pub lunch, and we were thoroughly impressed! All four of us had the fish and chips, which exceeded our expectations – it was absolutely lovely! While the prices initially seemed a bit high, the portions were so generous - it was well worth it. The staff were all incredibly friendly, and the garden is beautiful, especially on a hot summer day!

I ordered the pork with an extra Yorkshire, I always order beef but this time I went for the pork. It was perfect, I'd like to try all options lol!I'll be back next time I'm here

I day ago went for a birthday meal. What happened to what was a good place to eat last year. Ordered cod and fries. Absolutely inedible. The chips looked as though the had been left and overpriced several times. Saturated with grease. As was the tasteless and soggy fish. Garnished with totally limp dried out pea shoots, obviously tinned peas. I left it after realising how bad it was . If anyone had come over and asked how meal was I would have told them it was expensive and totally unacceptable. It used to be OK but they need to recruit someone who can cook. Never again. Only plus is the digs welcome
