Lovely friendly hotel with fabulous meals. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and the owner made our stay special with a few personal touches. Our room was spacious with a lovely view of the hill behind the hotel. The food was very impressive and some of the recipes are included in a beautiful book about the hotel, which is available to purchase. We enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi, which overlooks the hill. The surrounding area is very beautiful and worth a visit.

We came here for something to eat and it’s one of the best places we’ve ever been. From being greeted at the door by a lovely gentleman who got us a drink, to then being seated by one of the ladies working there. Nothing was a bother to any of them and they were extremely friendly. The food was absolutely perfect, extremely tasty. I had a vegetarian burger which isn’t normally my go to but it was absolutely amazing. My wife’s food was delicious too.For the price you pay, you get extremely good food here.

My partner and I recently enjoyed a delightful two-night stay at The Hand at Llanarmon, and it was an experience to remember. We stayed in Room 3, which featured a comfortable super king bed and a well-appointed bathroom with a roll-top bath. The charming old features in the reception, including the old range, added a lovely touch of history to the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the open fire in the reception area, where we enjoyed a cozy dinner at a nearby table. The food at The Hand was exceptional, with every meal surpassing our expectations. The waiting staff in both the restaurant and bar were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfasts were incredibly substantial, featuring top-quality ingredients that were locally sourced. The coffee was a special treat, as they have their own blend ground from a quality supplier, ensuring a perfect start to our mornings.During our visit, we also took a trip to the nearby Pistyll Rhaeadr, the highest waterfall in Wales at 240 feet. It was an awe-inspiring sight and a wonderful addition to our trip. The ambiance of The Hand at Llanarmon is warm and inviting, with a mix of rustic decor and modern comforts. The location is perfect for those looking to escape to the countryside, and the surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for walks and exploring.Overall, our stay at The Hand at Llanarmon was a perfect blend of comfort, history, and excellent hospitality. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and relaxing break.

A cosy pub with excellent food. A traditional log fire to keep you warm. Friendly staff and a menu that was not overly complicated. It delivered on a good use of local ingredients from the local trout to the welsh beef. Strong flavors and quality.

I only leave reviews if somewhere is exceptionally good or bad.I have now worked my way through the whole menu and frequented this restaurant many times. In short the food is excellent, you can't order a bad meal. The staff are brilliant and the customer service is exceptional.Anyone leaving less than a 5 out of 5 needs their head checking.A restaurant in the Michelin guide allowing mud coveredoff-road motorcyclists to eat a reasonably priced excellent meal is tops to me. Oh, and its nearly on the TET. (I always eat outside, but they always offer me a table by the fire).

A return visit to The Hand and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It’s great that they offer the Sunday lunch menu in the evening (one to remember!) and it was probably one of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had for a long time. …
