Had a nice solo room here with a seaside view. The room was clean and ready for me when I arrived. You can see the seaside and the iconic land in the distance that arcs around Barmouth over the sea. The window is as big as the wall, so it's nice to wake up and see the sea in front of you, or go to sleep with the sound of waves crashing. The room was small, but I liked it. Small room with a bed that faces the window the size of the wall with a great view. Good amount of tea & coffee supplies, and even had some hot chocolate included, really liked that. Nice clean ensuite bathroom too. I didn't actually see any staff while I was there, the check in and out procedure is different from anywhere else I've stayed (I prefer it). Other reviews said the hotel hosts were friendly and helpful, but in my experience, it was more along the lines that if you don't bother them, they won't bother you. I'm sure they would have helped should I needed it, but I managed to check in and check out without speaking to or seeing anyone. I won't share the details of that part though. Will be staying here again if and when I go back to Barmouth.

A lovely place. Met by owner/proprietor on checking in. Room up a few flights of stairs. Self contained, bed room with toilet and shower. (room No. 7). Very large double glazed picture window, which over looked Barmouth Bay. …

I booked this double room, for just one night, although I travelled alone, it being all that was available at fairly short notice on a bank holiday weekend.  …

Upon arrival realised just how poor this hotel was. At best the photos were creative! However it was made worse as nobody on reception and their phone number just rang behind the locked closed door. if we had arrived earlier we would have left! Room was at best tired, cobwebs and peeling wallpaper. Insult to injury a poster on their notice board saying bok direct at £35 per head. we paid over £100 for a £70 room. Being generous that's about it's worth. Never did see anyone and not managed to raise with Booking.com. personally avoid it. Much better places in Barmouth at similar prices.
