The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are polite and professional. They were very accommodating with our early check in request. The rooms are dated and in need of repairs. Our sink had a large crack in it. We expected nothing broken and more modern for a hotel at this price that markets itself as luxury. The rooms have good heating. We could only find two power points in our king room and they were both in use by the coffee machine and kettle. The bed and pillows were comfortable although two singles pushed together is not a king bed. The toilet flush mechanism is old and doesn’t work well. At least it is quiet and we had a good sleep.

Good hotel, very friendly staff who provided a great service throughout my stay. Room was good but the bathroom could do with an upgrade and the shower temp couldn’t be adjusted. Bar prices are overpriced and there was a rogue mouse in the bar area. Had to wait almost 30 minutes one morning for breakfast to come out.

Great golf course and facilities. With excellent friendly staff. An extra special mention for Kaela in the restaurant who looked after us very well. The spa and pool were very clean, and the golf massage special was excellent and good value. Good range of quality meals available in restaurant.

Visiting with a Golf Society, stayed one night & played both courses. Just a shame about the weather. Hotel room was very clean & comfortable. All staff were excellent.Played the Emerald Course on the first day. The Course played long, due to the damp conditions. Difficult this time of year with the leaves on the Fairways, so challenging finding balls, even on the Fairway. Greens were good.Played the Saphire Course on second day. Tight little Course, but very wet (although no balls 'plugged').Downside - there weren't any ball washers on any tees on either Course.

The staff here are lovely and the entire place is beautiful and clean. Everything was great except the restaurant. I paid £10 for 3 chicken wings and £35 for lamb that I could not eat because she didn’t check that I wanted it that pink. £70 later we ended up with take away in bed. Not overly happy with this spa stay but it was ok.

It's a great place to play golf with a group of friends or on your own. I come regularly with various groups of friends and we have a good few days. I've always had a good experience, however; one or two in the groups have complained about rooms, food and the cost of drinks. No matter what, the staff have sorted issues out, and the same people complaining about the cost of beer end up staying up till the early hours !!!!, funny, isn't it. The coarse is challenging and accommodates all players.

Nice location, friendly staff, nice bathroom in the room, shower is very spacious and bathtub, which is nice to have. Facilities in the hotel are nice, spa area nice and relaxing, steam room swimming pool. The dinner in restaurant was delicious, if I can give 10 stars I would. For breakfast I would give 4 stars, sorry, so as for afternoon tea, some of the cakes were not as nice as they looked (either undercooked or been sitting in the fridge too long)
