Had a few drinks and a lovely pie here yesterday whilst visiting from Manchester. The bar area and restaurant are very nicely decorated. The beer and wine selection is very impressive. We ordered the Steak and Ale pie and the burger..both were lovely. There were loads of staff on and the service was excellent. Well worth a visit. 5*

They have done a great job on the renovation and transformed the hotel. Much nicer place to enjoy a meal and a drink. Slightly disappointed with the price of the beers/ales, most of them were over £6 and this is the highest you will pay in Menai outside of a restaurant. Is it really necessary to charge this much? Otherwise a very pleasant experience.

We were fortunate to get a last minute booking for one night in a superior room, overlooking the Menai Straits. The room was magnificent and attention to detail was superb. A spacious balcony was an unexpected bonus. …

Great location close to Menai. Parking quite tight. Loved the airy restaurant and that the tables aren't packed in closely. Fresh decor. Attentive service and delicious food. Just one thing, I think it's very important for staff to observe their own presentation, having a team member with a skirt just resting on upper thighs and then to have a ladder in her tights isn't very becoming. I also overheard another guest commenting the same, so, no, I'm not being a prude. I just feel that standards are important.

Had the best Sunday dinner for a long time. Wonderful food and service, we had 2 dogs with us and it was great not to be put away in the corner somewhere.... We were still in an area that wouldn't upset other guests but still felt part of the hotel. The dogs were so settled I forgot they were there. Staff were all lovely, friendly and efficient..... One of the best dinning experiences I've had in a long time and definitely will be back!

Stayed overnight for a work trip but was pleasantly surprised by the location, interior and views. The bar and restaurant area is large and spans the whole of the ground floor with excellent views of the water from the back section of the restaurant. There was a large garden area at the rear which was well kept with plenty of seating and great views. I didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor area due to time of arrival and the weather but there looked to be an outdoor bar which I suspect would be amazing in summer. The room was a little small but very comfortable, the bathroom was very compact but included an excellent shower but no bath (not a problem for me). Staff were friendly and professional and service at breakfast and dinner was great. Food was very good and there was a great selection of beers and wine. As I was working I did not get to explore the local area but this hotel looks to be well situated.

We had a fantastic trip at Victoria Hotel! We had never stayed at a chef & brewer hotel before, but it most certainly won’t be our last. The location is brilliant and all of the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming and attentive. The rooms were very comfortable with gorgeous sea views from the balcony and a nice attention to detail with the interior design. As always we had a very enjoyable evening meal and the breakfast in the morning did not disappoint, with great options to choose from. We are already looking into when we can book our next stay
