Our room was at the very top of the hotel so had a flight of stairs after taking lift to 3rd floor. The room itself had a new carpet but the paintwork could be doing with a refresh and a new blind and clean of the velux window needed. …

The location of the hotel is great. The room was nice and comfortable and clean. We went down for breakfast the cereal was not nice. The sausages were like white no colour on them. My husband asked for hash brown and mushrooms as they're wasn't any there. Never appeared. Just wasn't nice I had a warm croissant that's it. Did complain and got the cost of the breakfast back. Hopefully was just a one off as hotel is lovely and so are staff.

High tea visit before Aberdeen theatre show. We all of 6 of us enjoyed our high tea meals. The tea/coffee and cake selection after our meals were served timely and excellent quality. …

First room was nice but out of the Adams family. No lamps main lights harsh so sat in nearly darkness. Radiator full blast not working. No sockets at the bed. Couldn't open the windows as dead bird being eaten outside it. …

We chose this because of the location--right across from the train station. We were not disappointed with anything! We arrived early and they let us drop our bags until check in and actually had a room ready a little early for us. Room was spacious, clean, with good water pressure and a shower that was hot. Room service was easy to order, promptly arrived and was delicious too. When we checked out the next day, we again stored our bags while we did a day trip from Aberdeen until we caught the train back to London. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Would highly recommend this gem!

It was a wonderful short stay! We had a room in the top floor and we came into the room - it smelled fresh and cosy, it was warm and clean. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful, we got a full English breakfast, lots of variety of freshly made porridge to choose from and the staff was absolutely lovely. We also enjoyed the central location, easy to reach everything we wanted to see. The ambiance of the hotel was old-fashioned, which is not everyone's preferred style, but we much appreciated the vibe. Also the price was absolutely fine, you get much for not a high price range. If you're in Aberdeen, I would recommend seeing this hotel!

We arrived at the hotel for our honeymoon where we stayed for a night before travelling further. We had to carry two very heavy suitcases up two floors before we got to our room. …
