This hotel was lovely. Our room was large with a sofa, tv, wardrobe, and bed that was much larger than the advertised double. There is a pub downstairs. We were there both Friday and Saturday night, and the noise was minimal ! Our sleep was never disturbed by the pub, and the upstairs were REALLY well insulated

Perfect place for some good quality pub grub. The Karage chicken is absolutely phenomenal. Really lovely. Chips were good too and perfectly cooked. If you are in the area and fancy a bit to eat this is the place to go.Will definitely be back.

Went to this place to eat before embarking on a 6 hour journey. The F&C and the Mac&Cheese were great, but the rest of the food was not as what we're expecting it to be. Made me wish that I held onto my hunger a few more miles and ate at a nearby Toby's.

Excellent beer and great food. We greatly enjoyed our dinner there. Food preparation was a bit on the lengthy side but we were not disappointed when it was brought to us. Great victorian building too.

"After a long trip from London, I was hungry and Fish & Chips at that restaurant proved to be the perfect meal. They did it in a really good way - it was truly one of the best fish and chips I've ever tried."

This was our first visit to the Hampton but what a little gem, we were on an impromptu visit to the Scottish capital to watch our youngest lad play rugby in the Shadow of Murrayfield. The pub has a huge range of drinks including non alcoholic, I can't drink alcohol for medical reasons so this was good to see. Although we didn't eat the menu looks amazing. We'll definitely be back

Rooms need a little updating, they're very spacious rooms and the bed was very comfy. The room was clean. The service was very good. Breakfast was lovely . Location good, only took 10-15 minutes on the bus into Edinburgh and fare was capped at £4.80 so wasn't a rip off. All in all had a lovely time here and would book here again.
