It was very confusing, the names of the apt and the code at first. We were a group of 13, and my group and I were looking forward to staying at this place, but unfortunately, these apartments were not clean at all. We rented 3 apartments, they all had names first was Prince's Parlour, 2nd was called Music and Poets, 3rd was called Artist Retreat. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. My group found bugs crawling around artists and poets apartments. Both Princess and Music apartment had bed bugs in the sheets. Me and other members of the group complained that the sheets were infested with bed bugs and had bites from using them. They had dirty dishes in the Prince's Parlour apartment. It's just unbelievable and terrifying. Music and Poets' apartment had the wrong wifi pw, and our check-in turned into a complete nightmare! They also advertised 2 bedroom with 1 bathroom in Prince's Parlour but on arrival there were 2 bathroom. Again, false advertisement of the property just proves they have no idea how dirty this place actually is. I have contacted customer service in regards to the conditions of the property, and all I got was rude obnoxious answers. I highly do not recommend staying here if you don't want to get bed bug bites or deal with disgusting insects around your apartment.

We stayed at the poets retreat, another apartment in the same building. It was the end of our trip, so we were willing to pay a bit more. Unfortunately the place was dirty, and was not up to par, given the price we payed for it. …

We stayed in the Poet's Sanctuary at Slateford House during an unexpectedly extended visit looking after family in Edinburgh. Due to last minute nature of our trip we had to travel with our little dog and we were nervous about how he would be in an apartment. There was no need to worry, the place was perfect both for people and dogs. Everything about the apartment; location, facilities, comfort, cleanliness and communication, was simply brilliant. Thank to the team at House of Danu for this lovely experience.

Whilst only a fleeting visit will definitely stay here again when visiting Edinburgh! As a group of 10 work colleagues, we hired 3 of the adjacent apartments and were all absolutely delighted. Beautifully appointed, clean & stylish! …

I booked two apartments with my family, a one-room apartment and a two-room apartment. The level of cleanliness in both is very high. The decoration is beautiful, the furniture is of high quality, and the beds are comfortable. In each apartment there is a sofa bed, and extra blankets and pillows are available. The heating system is excellent. Toilet paper and cleaning tools are also provided. In addition, there is a back garden with a place that can accommodate five cars as a free parking service belonging to the apartments. Mark & Spencer, Azda, Sainsbury's are close to the apartments as well as a bus station. The fact that the apartments are complete and integrated, I recommend them, especially because of the cooperation of the office that manages the apartments and the speed of their response when contacting them.

Stayed in the Prince’s Parlour with my parents and husband and little girl. Absolutely huge - we couldn’t believe how big it was. The interior is beautiful - perfect mix of modern and classic. Everything was spotless and there was everything you could want. Comfy beds. Only 10 mins in a cab to the centre of Edinburgh. Neil was amazing and answered the phone anytime I had any questions on arrival time etc. I would thoroughly recommend any of these apartments if you’re looking to stay in Edinburgh.

Modern small apartment style accommodation that straddles the line between holiday accommodation and AirBnB in style. All very modern and a good size inside and definitely well looked after.Owners were easy to reach and very accommodating about any requests.

Avoid. Owned and operated by an extremely dodgy and unscrupulous family who aren’t to be trusted. These rentals were a botched renovation project that took over two years to complete, causing massive disruption and relentless problems for the local community, including the harrassment and intimidation of disabled and elderly neighbours. The flats were intended for sale but they couldn’t find anyone willing to buy. Vastly overpriced for the area, the building overlooks a busy junction. Be warned - if you stay here and cause excessive noise or anti-social behaviour then the police will be called immediately.
