Stayed here for two nights for a little visit to Edinburgh. The location is really good! We were pleasantly surprised to find the bus dropped us right in front of the building. The man at the check-in desk was very nice and overall we had an okay time. Some of the towels seemed a bit stained and it seems like when we followed directions to have towels replaced, the same used towels may have just been folded up and presented as new. Not sure, but the new towels were damp. The water pressure in the shower was also pretty low and there wasn't any shampoo provided.

This hotel has a great location but that is about it. The beds had steal wire bases, the boiler broke down so we had no hot water for 24 hrs, there was no chair, no bathmat and broken lock on door. …

We were placed in a room facing the main road and the window had a quarter inch gap at the top and could not be closed properly. We didn't get to the hotel until after 6pm so we couldn't see what was actually wrong with the window. After a cold, drafty and extremely noisy night we awoke to no hot water.Spoke to reception who offered to stuff a towel in the window and even though it was Friday he said he couldn't contact management until Monday. So we paid for two nights and left after 1 night, without knowing if we will receive any refundRooms not as advertised and a shocking way to start our Scotland visit

Not been decorated since the 90s. No loo roll, only one set of small towels. No milk for the coffee. Clearly they are not looking after the hotel or guests. Very noisy. Hugely over priced for such a mediocre experience.

Great location with a bus stop right outside that can get you to the city centre in 20 minutes. No hairdryer, shampoo, or conditioner provided, which was disappointing. My major issue was when I followed the instructions to get a clean bath towel, I came back to the room and my used one had just been folded up for me to use again!! Only stayed two nights so this was adequate for sightseeing purposes but wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer.

I'm going to try and make this short, this hotel is quite bad, it's fine for an overnight stay or if you just need somewhere close to the centre of Edinburgh to stay but otherwise it sucks. The water tastes of chlorine the, walls are paper thin so you hear everything going on, the showers water pump is loud, as in LOUD and im not talking about just the one in my own room but in the neighbours too. If your room neighbour is taking a midnight shower, then do not expect being able to sleep through it. There are no towel hangers for your towels. There's almost never anyone at the reception, and the so-called "garden view" is being able to look at a trashy parking lot. The location is great though as it is just by a busstop with busses going straight to the city centre which was perfect. 👌

Arrived Friday 26th April for 3 days . Lads weekend. Massive clean room. Everything working. Panicked having read the bad reviews however was blown away by the value for money and location. Would definitely stay again. …
