I stayed here for one night. Was able to change my check in time with no difficulty at all. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and given keys to my room... there is someone on the front desk 24 hrs a day, this was very good for me especially as I needed to check out at 4am. Checking out was very simple, I just had to give keys back to desk. The room was very clean and had all the necessities, at the price of the rooms I was extremely happy with my stay and will be staying here again in the future!!

Room immaculate and spacious considering it was a small double. Bathroom in good order but some of the tiles In shower could do with re grouting. Bed very comfortable and sheets etc spotlessly clean and crisp. …

Good value Victorian hotel in the fantastic location of Glasgow's West End. My small double room had everything I needed for an overnight but I would have happily stayed longer. …

The hotel is fine, old fashioned but that’s okay, rooms well laid out and housekeeping check in daily. No breakfast available. The bathroom was a bit musty with mould evident. A requirement to leave room keys at reception when you pop out which is very odd . Staff nice and it’s a reasonable base for a couple nights.

We stayed at the Clifton a few years ago and embraced its quirkiness, e.g. uneven floorboards and old-fashioned features. We especially loved the room with the corner bath, so we booked again recently with this in mind. …

A fantastic hotel with helpful friendly staff. We had a lovely stay here for one night. Our room was luxurious, clean and spacious, with a complete on suite and a massive bath. Lovely high ceilings and windows. The bed was huge and pretty comfy. It's right in the city, not far from tje gardens which is lovely. But it was a bit noisy at night on a Friday, we had to fetch our ear plugs. Other than the noise, a great stay. I would go again and recommend it for sure!Staff were fantastic and made us feel so welcome.

I'm surprised this establishment is still in business. The room gets one star because it was spotlessly clean. Otherwise, there was no plug in the basin, no lid on the toilet seat, curtains falling off the rail, the linen was clean but fraying and the roof leaked through the fire sprinkler system. The day I checked in the lady behind the counter was cheerful and helped me with luggage up two flights of stairs. The rest of the time the staff were uncommunicative and the day I checked out the woman behind the desk was unbelievably rude and unhelpful claiming there was no-one to help me with luggage and she "had a bad back". She made no effort whatsoever and went to far as to shout at me. Hospitality industry......I cannot recommend staying here

Location - A short stroll from the underground, plenty of restaurants & takeaways within 5/10 mins walk. A nice pub 5 mins away. The hotel itself was lovely & warm we turned the radiator off. Outside traffic could prove noisy for some if situated on a front facing room. It wasn't a problem for us. The beds are very soft. Not to our liking, depends on your preference. Shower nice & hot and clean. Rooms clean although small but we didn't mind. We had a double room. Hotel staff nice & friendly. Secure front door on a buzzer in the evening opened by the night porter quickly. We will stay here again

This hotel is in a great location in the city’s west end. The deluxe twin had 2 double beds and plenty of floor space meaning we didn’t feel cramped. There is a small car park at the rear. …
