My husband and I booked the two night stay, dinner bed and breakfast via hotelbreaks.com - we were delighted with the deal and really looking forward to a few days away. …

We stayed at this Hotel with a coach trip we were on . To say I felt we were treated like 2nd class guests would be accurate. The food was below standard I would expect . …

This hotel is all frills, no knickers! It looks pretty, but the rooms are grubby. My bed linen and cushions had stains on them. I asked for them to be replaced but it took 2 days. The corner of the room had a stained carpet. We were with a large party and were staying 5 nights. Due to this, we were given a set menu that was awful. Cold food, slow service, a quiche that was like raw paste and unbaked pastry. Room keys that stopped working twice. Entertainment was a piece of paper with questions on, that we were left with to fill out on our own and hand over to a waitress once we had finished "the quiz" I still have no idea what happened to them or who won? The hotel is in the middle of a housing estate... I would not return, and the travel company that booked our trip have also said they will not use the hotel at all. Last night, we all went for fish and chips instead of eating their awful evening meal... Every evening for 5 nights we had chefs veg and potatoes. 1 small head of brocoli 1 small head of cauliflower 4 carrot slices and daphinure potatoes. The same thing each day... often it was brown / yellow and cold..

We had a wonderful stay here, friendly, helpful staff, lovely food, the entrance reception is beautiful, and the bar area and restaurant, the rooms are slightly tired and our bathroom door didn't shut. The room was cleaned and fresh towels everyday. Lovely outside areas, used for weddings. The bacon and sausage wasn't cooked to my taste, the bacon was underdone and the sausage very pink. It was about a 10 minute walk into Irvine town which had a few shops and a pretty church ⛪️,

Great value for money for a short stay. Clean and nicely furnished. Nice location near Irvine. Not much to do unless you're there for a wedding or show night. Food was excellent and I would recommend it. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I have been coming along to the Riverside for lunch and dinner for a few years now and always had a lovely meal.In 2022 my partner proposed to me and we decided after it only being the 3rd venue we looked at that the Riverside was our 1st choice to have our wedding ceremony and reception at...... so glad we chose here. We were greeted with amazing staff who attended to our every need from asking if we needed a drink to making sure we were OK . Any little problems they were fixed immediately. Our day ran so smoothly from start to finish and I have to give credit to our room dresser and dj but most importantly my best friends on thd day of my wedding which were Craig and Julie from C & J party hire, they were outstanding and I can't thank them enough for everything they do and a whole lot more. ❤️🥂🍾Mr and Mrs wedlock xxx

Location isn’t too bad. When you turn up to this hotel and walk through the main doors it’s very grand. The rooms are standard for this type of hotel, the bathrooms though are a different matter altogether. Rust in the bottom of the bath and very dated. Worst of all was a switched shaver socket with a 240v function right next to the sink. This is totally unsafe and against regulations. You’re asking for trouble with these.Breakfast in the morning was a nightmare. Even Premier Inns stagger their breakfast bookings! There was a queue right outside the restaurant area. After queuing for 30 minutes I was told that there were no tables available in the restaurant area but I could sit in the bar area. Then I had a nightmare getting cutlery etc, and when I went to get a hot drink half way through my meal someone cleared away my plate of food!Honestly had higher expectations of this hotel.

Disappointed. We have stayed here several times, most recently on Monday. There are several aspects that seem to have gone hill a bit.Rooms: good points - spacious, bed comfortable , decent pillows. Not so good points - room was over warm despite the windows been open. Rooms are a bit tired and can do with a refresh.Shower not the best, but worked. The tiles and the bath itself look grubby.Food: Disappointing. Starters were okay, mains not so much. The plates were very hot but the food was barely at room temperature. The steak was very difficult to cut even after a steak knife was requested. Both mains went back barely touched. We had a DB&B rate with a bottle of wine included, but we weren't allowed to have the wine with dinner - I am struggling to understand the logic of this. If you want wine with your dinner you have to buy another one, this seems a bit stingy.Breakfast was fine, decent selection, food was hot if a bit overdone.
