The upgrade to the hotel is very good. All staff professional & attentive. A special mention to the bar team & bar Head Chef. Rooms spotless & comfortable. Breakfast buffet style with a range of hot/cold choices. …

I was looking for a hotel that offered good values for money in the centre of Glasgow and this definitely fits the bill. The staff is really great, both at check in as well as in the breakfast room and bar.You can see the hotel went through a makeover and my room was well decorated clean and spacious with a good mattress. There was a paid parking location across the road which was very convenient and the hotel offers great value for money. If I need to travel to Glasgow again this is definitely an option.

We were greeted at Reception by such a friendly and knowledgable member of staff. It was such a pleasure to stay at the Glasgow Argyle Hotel. The room was clean and as expected from the photos and description on website when booking online.Loved that there was the option of using the facilities, gym (looked great but hard pass), sauna/steam, & swimming pool (yes please!). Pool towel was provided upon signing into the leisure area.It was a 10/15 minute walk from the Glasgow Queen Street train station. There is a button beside reception to request a taxi, all the taxis that supported us through the hotel were really lovely! So it’s great to have this addition for ease while travelling. Taxis always arrived promptly within 5 minutes of pressing the button. The staff at the hotel were all lovely to communicate with, and all very hard working. For ease after travelling, we had food at the hotel bar. This would be the only recommendation I’d have for future improvements is to offer more homemade options. For the price of pizza and nacho options that were frozen/straight out of a packet… it would be so great to see freshly made nachos and guacamole/salsa, and pizza. If the chef has creative control over menu choices this would be a great way to go. Chef/Staff at the bar were kind, friendly, and attentive.Breakfast options were lovely with hot breakfast options, cereal, pastries etc. The morning staff were just as lovely and attentive too.I’d recommend staying here, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in future.

Nice hotel with gym and swimming pool. Very handy for the business district and in walking distance of a fair few pubs and restaurants. Only 30 mins from the airport. Main shopping areas near by as well. Not a picturesque location if you are looking for a lot of green. Room was very nicely maintained and bathroom nice and fresh. An excellent breakfast selection each morning and nice bar for the evening. Did not eat in, in the evening so cannot comment.

The staff were friendly and doing their best so they are not the problem. However, this hotel is a mess. I paid 200 pounds for a room with stains all over the carpet and couch. The air conditioner did not work and there was only a very tiny window that could barely open. The front door to the building did not work. The key cards did not work properly. All amenities were closed and there was construction happening all over the hotel.I understand that the hotel “reopened” about three days ago but you went too fast. The hotel is still under construction, the photos are misrepresentations of what the hotel looked like, and the rooms were not clean or functional. Even the photo of the building from the outside is misleading.

I can't find the right words. I am blind, shadows on my brain, weak, nervous . The staff at this hotel went above and beyond! Mind caring discreet. The room was stunning. The hotel has great cleaning staff for do in fact deserve the drink for doing the amount of cleaning just in our bathroom! The front desk staff are so helpful and we hadn't stayed at a hotel they didn't make us feel stupid for asking loads of questions! The pool and staff running the pool were so lovely. All the staff in this hotel care about your stay. There is no other hotel I'll stay with if they'd have us back. It's quite beautiful and you feel safe comfort and kindness stays here. I highly suggest you pick this if your from abroad. It's beautiful. It's not to close to Glasgow but close enough you can walk. It's a nice morning walk to the Clyde. And considering it was September we had a beautiful sunny day. It's not as expensive as others but I felt like I was in a very very expensive hotel in new York. It's just that good!My absolute deepest thanks to all staff working from the 10th-12th of September 2024. You all are amazing people 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Rooms very comfortable and quiet. Leisure facilities currently being revamped so check with staff as to when they will reopen. The staff went out of their way to make alternative arrangements for leisure facilities at a nearby hotel. Much appreciated 😊.

My family spent about GBP 370 for 2 night, dissatisfactory with room quality. the air in the room was extremely stuffy, making it difficult to breathe comfortably, additionally, there was a pervasive smell of marijuana, the room itself appeared very outdated and in need of refurbishment, the worn-out furnishing and decor did not meet standard with 4 star.Have asked for change the room in the first day, but fully booking, so they can only provide a fan, so cannot sleep for the whole night. Next day, I strongly complaint to ask for change of the room, then try and error to source a better room. Honestly, most of the rooms have the same problem. Finally, they can provide a bigger room for us with a window which allow to be opened. Anyway, not recommend to book this hotel.
