Perhaps it's a bit unfair to leave a 5 star review 11 years later, but I just thought about how much of an impact staying here made on my whole experience visiting Cardiff and Wales, and I wanted to chime in. When I think of visiting Wales, this is the first place I think of - how we were welcomed with hot tea and stroopwafel, the amazing meals they made for us, and how overall hospitable and wonderful our experience was. Maybe one day I will get the chance to visit them again, but for now this place lives in my memory as one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed anywhere.

When you've waited at the airport for 3 hours, sat through a 9.5 hour flight, walked 2 miles to the train station, rode the train for almost 3 hours and then walked another 20 minutes to your B&B dragging your suitcase behind you, you …

Booked the room for 2 nights. The neighborhood was horrible. The sidewalks were in horrible conditions, the other houses were run down and trash was everywhere on the streets. The place itself was pretty run down. With a dangerously ill fitting carpet on the stairs. The room was dirty and I don't wanna talk about the bathroom. There was no check in, because the manager had to do something somewhere else. My key was in a envelope outside the house.Booked immediately another hotel in Cardiff and left.I Don't recommend it.

We paid a pretty cheap price for this accommodation so didn’t expect much. I wouldn’t call the place very clean, it was very out dated and needs abit of work. Although, the room was reasonably clean. …

A wonderful B&B located between the city centre and the bay. We spent our visit walking to and back to the centre but there is ample parking and busses available. …

It was very exciting to stay at this lovely B&B after reading such great reviews online!I was not disappointed and I feel it helped my business trip into Cardiff go smoothly and more comfortable. My favourite part about this stay was the breakfast. I opted for the upgraded menu options and I had to snap some photos of the food for my Insta because it was just so beautiful & delicious!Owners are quick to respond and make sure you're settled in okay and there are so many small touches that you just can't get from a big chain hotel. It was easy to find street parking right out front, the temperature of my room was pleasant, it had blackout curtains, and loads of comfy pillows just to name a few highlights.

Normally rate per night under £50 which is not unreasonable for this part of the city. We paid £109 per night for international rugby weekend of 2 nights. …

We stayed here for my stag do and found the owners incredibly welcoming. The rooms in the main house were lovely. The rooms in the annexe (a separate building across the road) were quite basic, but mine was clean and had tea/coffee and a kettle, and an iron/ironing board. The location is really good; the city centre and football stadium are both in easy walking distance. The best thing about the Ty Rosa though is the breakfast. They have a great breakfast menu and everything is cooked (perfectly) to order, using fantastic ingredients. Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks guys.
