I stayed in Lochside Cottage with my sister and our two dogs for our annual get-together and walking week. Lochside surpassed expectations- clean, comfortable with everything you would need and the most stunning view from the lounge window. Walks in the area are numerous and diverse, there’s so much to see and do. We will definitely be booking again in future.

Very quiet and remote enough, but at the same time within a short drive to get anything you need and excellent for letting our two dogs roam about the nearby fields! We slept so well as well, comfy beds and pillows! It is also surprisingly warm for such an old building.The hosts are first class and close by to help with anything too. I think you'd need to spend there some time in the spring/summer months to appreciate it fully though.Ps. We loved the rabbits in the back garden!!!

We had such a relaxing and enjoyable time here. We stayed a couple of weeks ago at The Croft cottage, which was fantastically clean and had everything you needed. The surroundings are just beautiful and very quiet. We cycled and walked from the cottage through lovely forest tracks that took you to beautiful lochs and villages.Avilochlan feels a world away from Aviemore, but is only a 5 minute drive away.The cottage is surrounded by wildlife, we saw rabbits, geese, oyster catchers, terns and even saw an osprey to name just a few!Fiona was brilliant and on hand for anything you needed and a mine of fantastic local information.This place is perfect to relax and unwind and a great base to explore the Highlands. We have been recommending to family and friends and we hope to stay again soon!Thank you Fiona for a great stay 😊

Wonderful stay at Hill View Cottage. The accommodation is clean, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen & good sized rooms with plenty of storage. We had a dog with us and the garden was dog friendly & fenced. The cottage has a boot room so really great for coming in from trips out drying the dog off and a place to leave coats/shoes etc. A warm welcome from Fiona & Ronald. Avielochan is only a 10 min car journey from Aviemore for supplies. Thank you we had a really great holiday.

Hill View was a lovely cottage - spotless & very cosy. The rooms were large, lots of storage space. Very well equipped kitchen - sharp knives always a joy! The garden was enclosed all the way round & ideal for our dogs to run around - they loved as much as we did! The owner popped in when we arrived to see if all was ok which was nice.

We had a fantastic stay at The Croft. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We loved relaxing in front of the wood burning stove in the evenings. The double bed was comfortable and the water pressure was great in the shower. The heating was really easy to control, which was great. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and oven dishes etc. It is just a mile or so outside of Aviemore so a perfect location for all kinds of outdoor pursuits. There are beautiful views from the cottage too. We hope to be back soon!

A stunning, comfortable, spacious and clean property. Ideal for outdoor activities and lots to do nearby. Host left tea bags, coffee and Milk for arrival a lovely touch. Enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend and return

We stayed in the caravan this time. Even in October it was lovely and cozy. It was immaculately clean, fully equipped and very comfortable. Sitting and looking out over the lochan or watching the birds on the feeders was so relaxing. Fiona is friendly, welcoming and helpful. We also have had holidays in the Croft, a charming cottage. We love coming to Avielochan and hope to be back.

Our stay at Hill View cottage has been nothing short of wonderful. Located in the beautiful rural location of Aviemore, it offers a sense of peaceful isolation yet 5 minute drive into the quaint little town of Aviemore itself. The cottage was absolutely spotless, very roomy property offering all the home comforts you'd want while away. Never have I woken to the sound of cows mooing, truly delightful. We were visited by woodpeckers on the bird feeder right outside the front window, a stunning view of the Cairngorms from the sofa. We are sad to be leaving but would highly recommend a stay at Avielochan.

Beautiful location. Stunning views over the Loch to the hills. Scenery ever changing as clouds drift past. Cottage amazing. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable. Everything you could possibly need to self-cater. Fiona so welcoming. Love our Aviemore retreat. Never fails to deliver. And so many birds and rabbits to amuse entertain.
