A family half term break with every kind of weather - but who cares in this delightful cosy house with its sweeping views! Gordon has great interior design taste in everything, and his easy to use wood-fired tin bath was the cherry on the cake. We found it easy to use and who doesn’t love a hot tub under the stars. Pre arrival communications pretty perfect. Welcome basket was very much appreciated, plus there’s an EV charger here too. A wonderful spot

The experience of staying here was brilliant from beginning to end with the Communication with the owner being excellent. The property is in a particularly beautiful position and the view is amazing, especially the sunsets looking over to the Uists. All amenities within the house are well thought out with everything you could need, including a particularly good filter coffee machine and top notch toiletries. It was just a sheer pleasure to return here after a days walking and exploring.

We had a beautiful stay at The West Nest with gorgeous views down to the loch. We loved the clean modern design of the interior and enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen. We arrived to find the place spotless with a welcome basket which was gratefully received.We enjoyed the walk down to Glendale a tiny village near the Loch. We were pleasantly surprised to find a General Store that although very small had lots of items such as gluten and diary free and a small selection of fruit and vegetables. We also loved the little cafe Lephin especially the cakes - they were so good.

Perfect stay at The West Nest. Lovely property on a quiet side road with the most stunning view. We spent most of our time looking out of the window!
Very stylish & comfortable, the house has everything you need. There’s a shop & a cafe close by too. We would definitely return.

We had a wonderful winter break in the beautifully furnished and cosy West Nest. The view is spectacular, the bed very comfortable, and the kitchen well-equipped. Gordon's communication was fantastic throughout and we will certainly be coming back.

Best accommodation ever!! Hardly can find the words to describe how wonderful our stay was. Everything was just perfect! The views outside are amazing! Best location to stay. It has no neighbours next to you, this is a very quiet place.There are so many beautiful things I want to say about this house.The communication with the owner was more than perfect!Every day of our stay we lit up the fireplace. It was so cozy! There was more than enough wood we could use.It was also possible to charge our car.We slept more than fine in the very comfortable bed.The West Nest Skye has a very nice website with great recommendations. It’s also a great location for the highlights on the Island.And also; I’m totally in love with the interior! Great design! Especially the blankets from Skyeweavers (the neighbours) and the candles from Skyecandles. A must to visit!Don’t look any further but book this accommodation!Thank you for everything and the sweetest welcome gifts!!

We had an amazing time at The West Nest. We loved sitting in the cosy lounge with the fire, overlooking the beautiful views. The cottage had everything we needed with no expense spared on furnishings and kitchen accessories. We also appreciated the kind advice from Gordon (the owner) who couldn’t have been more helpful in regards what to do in and around the local area. He really went above and beyond. We’re looking forward to returning.

Outstanding. Think open plan five star hotel suite with epic views, designer furniture, lovely cosy furnishings and super remote (not as remote as the road photo suggests - there is a shop and lovely cafe a stone’s throw away - although that was taken on the way there…) Wilfa batch brewer. James Hoffman would be proud! Sonos sound system, wood burner, lockable shed for bikes, sheep skin rugs, fast WiFi. Full size baby travel cot with a proper (!) mattress. Close to some great beaches, Talisker, castles, restaurants (book ahead…), walks and cycling.
