Great stay in Karen's chalet! Among farm animals with an incredible view, quiet, near Dunvegan Castle. The chalet is wonderfully well equipped and comfortable. Karen was a caring host :)a huge thank you!

To recommend ! The chalets are little havens of peace. We had a very good stay, everything was perfect. The very friendly welcome from Karen and John, the comfort and cleanliness of the chalet and the idyllic, peaceful setting.

Me and my partner stayed here in May and had the most wonderful time. There is a truly beautiful view from the chalets over the Loch where occasionally bouncy lambs frolic into view as well as geese and chickens. We enjoyed some lovely weather but it's atmospheric even when it rains.Karen has equipped the chalets really well. Everything we wanted was there as well as some scones and Fizz. The chalet did get a little hot in the sun but worth it for the view.John and Karen are really great hosts. The right balance of friendliness without being intrusive.I would recommend booking directly through their website as found it was cheaper than the booking websites.I massively recommend staying, best decision I made the whole time I was in Scotland!

We had such a wonderful stay at Lampay Chalets. The chalet is located close to a lake, so it was lovely to wake up to a serene lake view. Our hosts Karen and John were very friendly, and were kind enough to let us tag along some farm activities. It was an overall incredible experience. Would definitely recommend to those who want a quiet retreat by a lake surrounded by cute animals ☺️

Loved my stay at Lampay chalets over the Easter weekend. John and Karen are lovely hosts. Accommodation very clean, spacious and comfortable. Great location overlooking the loch. Enjoyed the quiet, the sunsets and the walk to Coral Beach, and the animals too! Everything was great. Hope to stay again before too long.

A place where you can feel disconnected from the worldPeople around meWhen the wind blows, it sounds like everything is blowing away. If it stops for a while, there is no noise and you can feel silence and silence.There are no lights around, so when you turn off the lights, it's pitch black.If you have any tips.1. You can cook easily (refrigerator, gas burner, microwave, electric pot, etc.) There is nothing around, so it is better to prepare dinner, etc.2. The road is narrow, so it is recommended to visit Coral Beach before sunset rather than going late at night.

Now on our third stay, and truly we cannot recommend highly enough. John and Karen are wonderful hosts, present but not overbearing. The chalets are perfect, modern, warm, well appointed and exceptionally well situated for views of Loch Dunvegan. Situated at the tip of the western point past the village of Dunvegan, with views of Stornoway, walks to Coral Beach, and cliff top summits, you’ll be hard pushed to find a better spot. Dogs are made welcome 🐶 with enclosed gardens, and amenities for dog owners. Home baked scones and muffins are made for you upon arrival. Book for 3+ nights and you’re provided with gratis fresh caught seafood from John’s nets (with lobster in season! 😛) and prepared by Karen. There’s Wi-Fi and central heating, full size fridge and gas hob, and constant hot water, and digi TV, but if I’m honest you won’t even bother with the TV, and you’ll just spend endless hours basking in the best view in the northern hemisphere from your full size patio windows across the loch.Trust me, book for 3 nights, explore the island (with Michelin starred restaurants nearby, and great food in the village) and revel in the walks and nature that is right on your doorstep at Lampay Chalets.

What a fantastic find!So happy we stayed here it was windy but wonderful. 3 days simply wasnt long enough we didnt want to come home. The chalets are lovely and cosy with amazing sea views and being dark sky you can also see the aurora if your lucky. We were afforded amazing views from the front windows of the milky way during the night. The gardens are great for four legged friends and having all the croft animals and birds around to watch and help feed really adds to the experience.Karen and her husband are lovely friendly welcoming hosts and really go above and beyond to make your stay special. Theres lots to see and explore with the castle and coral beach nearby. I highly recommend, would give more stars than 5 if that was an option. We will definitely be returning!

The road must be traveled calmly and carefully because it is narrow and has potholes, there are tourists going to/from Coral Beach so there could be 'traffic'. There are no words to convey the sensations that this place gives! The view and the context are incredible at any time: the animals and the cliffs, the romantic sunset, the crazy starry sky, the early morning.... Until the owners put the animals to rest, you will only hear their sounds and then total peace and silence. We only stayed one night but it would be a place to treat yourself to for several days! Super super recommended!!!!!

Incredibly sweet place to stay at!! Lovely hosts who gave us homemade scones, biscuits, jam from the berries in the garden and eggs from the chickens just outside the door. Comfortable cottages with beautiful view over the hills and the sea. We are so grateful!

We had such a lovely night in Dunvegan thanks to Karen and her amazing chalets!!100% recomended. They are located just at 5/10 minute drive from Dunvegan and 5 minutes drive to the Coral Beach car park !!Well-equipped rooms with tea, coffee, really comfy bed and spotless bathroom.Astonishing views of the loch Dunvegan with their beautiful animals !!Definetly I will recomend it to my friends with no doubt!!

Not an easy drive to the chalets, but Karen and John will ensure your hard work be rewarded with the amazing view from the chalet and the nice comfort bed. Not to mention the lovely cakes, free range eggs and the amazing seafoods fresh from the sea. A place that we will come back again and agin.

Outstanding! In every way. The location is nothing short of breathtaking, Karen and John are the definition of great hosts and very welcoming. The weather for us was excellent. Cleanliness is outstanding, facilities outstanding. Treat yourself to a proper holiday with good, honest, genuine folk and choose Lampay Holiday Chalets, the local Coral Beach is a short trip up the road and easily walkable. We will be back. Local amenities are at Dunvegan and the general store has everything you need to get by, Mobile signal and WiFi are available, not that you need any of that, just a nice dram or two and enjoy the location, don't forget to book a full breakfast from Karen, delicious! another lovely touch. Our dogs were both welcome too. Thank you soooooo much, highly recommended.
