The only thing good about it, is the interior of the rooms are nice and they’re kept clean, so well done to your cleaners. The company is run by money hungry scavengers. Doesn’t offer free cancellation, will find any excuse to take your deposit, (who pays deposit via bank transfer), there’s no on site reception they want you to check in while standing on the street and responding to calls and emails, can you imagine Hilton doing this? It boast a city view, I can get more of a view on a bus. It’s not even moderately priced, please do not waste your money on this apartment, I can’t even believe booking.com have these people on their website. Just sell the building and go and get a 9-5, your whole team is rude and useless. The purpose of the reputable business is to give a customer a service they can’t get elsewhere, your only purpose is to make money, you don’t care about customer care. If you care about money that much just beg on the street. Whats the point of having a business with so many bad reviews

Terrible experience.Booked here but couldn't get in as the code they emailed me didn't allow me access.Had to sleep on the street, as there was no where else to stay at that time of the night. When I told them of my situation they had absolutely no compassion or weren't even willing to give me compensation for my horrible situation.Definitely stay away from this place!

PLEASE READ!!!!!I recently stayed here and the staff were horrible. They were rude and disrespectful. Kept me waiting 30+ mins after arriving when they told me to get there for. Then during our stay we went out for the night. My partner left her Tiffany bracelet in her bag in the room so she doesn’t lose it on our night out as we went clubbing with a couple friends. When we got back she checked it and it was gone with some cash as well. Never staying again. They even had the audacity to block me and my partners number after we tried to report it and complain.

Deceptive and Unacceptable ExperienceMy experience with City Aldgate Apartments was incredibly frustrating. Key details like the requirement to be 25 years old to check in and a hidden £500 deposit were not made clear when I booked. Upon arrival, I was unable to access the apartment due to these undisclosed terms. When I contacted them, I was initially told I would receive a refund, only to have that promise retracted later. This kind of misleading information and poor customer service is completely unacceptable. I strongly urge others to avoid this property.

Extremely Disappointed – Hidden Terms and Terrible ExperienceI had a terrible experience with City Aldgate Apartments. When I arrived, I was unable to access the property due to hidden terms that were not clearly disclosed during the booking process. Specifically, you have to be 25 years old to check in, and they require a £500 deposit—neither of which was made clear when I booked. After contacting customer service, I was initially told that a refund "would not be a problem," but my request was later denied. This level of dishonesty and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I wasted my time and money on a booking I couldn’t even use. I strongly advise others to be very cautious when booking with this property.I won’t rest until I get my money back, as this is something I simply cannot let go.

I wrote a review through the Agoda booking site. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!There is no one to help you. We stood outside for half an hour while I called Agoda to get help, there is no signage on the building to let you know if you have arrived to your desitnation. We met another couple outside at the same time who also didnt know if they were in the right location. There is no signage anywhere. There is no customer service or front desk, Check in is for 3pm we got inside the property for 3:30pm after AGODA helped us out with our booking to get info on how to gain access. When we got it, the cleaning lady hadnt even begun cleaning our apartment, we had to pass the sole key to her and leave our luggage while she completed the clean. The cleaning lady didnt speak any english either which wasnt helpful. When we came back we found no hot water working, we tried all the sinks, showers, (remember the cleaning lady was just in) How on earth did she clean anything properly without using hot water? It didnt smell clean when we got back to our apartment for the 4 nights we stayed there. The hood fan had grease splatter still all over the stainless surface and we didnt cook at all during our stay. The master shower grout still had black mold like substance in certain areas of the grout, there wasnt enought toilet paper for 4 days ( we were always gone early morining to late evening) We had no hot water for 3 days, when I inquired early the first morning, it would be looked into, on day 3 I asked for an update they wanted to wait for us to return, I booked this for vacation, this is not my job.The boiler was turned off, no one gave us instructions or access to how to use this to fix it, when we walked on the "freshly cleaned" lamanate floors we had to dust our feet off from the amount of dust on the floor surface, floors were not vaccumed or mopped upon our arrival.I asked to have a small refund provided for the inconvieniences, (finding location, getting in, asking to have the water issue looked into, not cleaned, and prior tenants items had to be removed still when we arrrived... They offered a 10% discount for our next stay.. NOT A CHANCEwe live on the other side of the world, if we do come back to London it will not be with you!I was professional & kind when I emailed my concerns and noted that I would want to know if my staff was not perfoming their duties well. I said if you are able to give me a slight refund I will post a pleasant review, they outright refused. In turn, I will give the god honest truth. Save your money, dont look for a good deal, pay more. The building photos are a lie as well, the patio view they show you is on the back side you look a trees and another condo complex, it is the only large balcony we had the other balcony below and there are no others, the front of this location has multiple stores attached to it and there is graffitti everywhere in this location while we were there a couple blocks away 2 stabbings took place, Police had to ribbon off the area.Aldgate apartments, if you took the time to read these reviews and care for the clients who book with you your rating could be higher, you clearly dont care what anyone says and I pray that this review helps other families from making the same mistake we did ( We also had 2 children with us at this time) Shame on you!
