Just back from a weekend (for Skabour in Folkestone) 100% totally recommend this hotel! Alison and her family were brilliant hosts they went above and beyond! the food was good the pub ambience was brilliant the beds were so comfortable I struggle with hip pain knee pain and shoulder pain but did not have any pain at all two brilliant nights sleep! The rooms were clean the shower amazing cannot fault anything about it! We’ll be back next year for sure!

Not particularly inspiring from the outside, this hotel-pub makes up for it in every other respect. Our obviously completely up-dated en-suite room was spotless and comfortable. The staff could not have been more agreeable. …

We had a lovely couple of days here. Great family run hotel. Great decor, really friendly staff and great food. The room was clean and fresh with a big en suite with tea/coffee facilities to boot. Everything you could ask for a break away. Would definitely recommend, we'll definitely be going back 😁

Nice little hotel with pub downstairs (not bothering at all in the evening/night). Perfect location for holidays at the waterfront: Clean rooms, very friendly team, very good breakfast with fresh fruits, muesli, fresh coffee/tea, fresh croissants, cooked english breakfast, if you like (including vegetarian and/or gluten free variants). 30/45 minutes walk along the beaches to Folkestone harbour, bus stop to Folkestone/ Hythe 1 minute, swimming in the sea possible (depending on weather conditions). Highly recommend.

I did not stay at the hotel but would highly commend them for the funeral tea they gave following my sister’s funeral. The food was amazing, it was very well received by friends and family who attended and who commented on the wonderful food. A big thank you to the staff to whom nothing was too much trouble.I can also recommend their Sunday lunches, the best.

I stayed for one night and would not hesitate to recommend the Royal Norfolk, for someone wanting a great location, spacious bedroom and bathroom, hearty breakfast and above all, amazing hospitality. Over the years, I have stayed in countless hotels, and you might find more salubrious hotels, but you could never find hosts more genuine and welcoming and helpful than Alison and Bill. Truly wonderful people, and this is what we will remember...aside from the huge bed and large bathroom....and terrible weather, in July!

We had a lovely few days staying here a base while we checked out the local area. Owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Room - bed was comfortable, bedding fresh and clean. Our only quarm is the lack of black out curtains (we woke too early due to the daylight streaming in through the blinds)
