This is our local pub. The atmosphere is great although the service is always a little slow the staff are super friendly. Food is great. We have used the rooms for family staying. They are lovely but you have to remember that you are staying above a very old pub so it's noisy until the pub closes.Because of it's age, it's not at all wheelchair friendly. It's close proximity to Bristol means that there is an abundance of activities in a vibrant city within easy reach and you have Ashton Court opposite which is a lovely country estate with great walks. The coast isn't too far away either. It's a great location.

What a great pub. Proper pub.You don't often see horses in a pub garden.Beer quality could have been a little better.Back again, beer is in excellent condition. I'll put last time down to how busy they were.Staff are so welcoming and friendly. The prices are surprisingly low, less than your bog standard pub for an excellent place.

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to eat after dropping relatives off at the airport. The Angel Inn was recommended to us by patrons at a different pub who didn't serve food on a Saturday! It looked old but pretty on the outside and when we went in it was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful and delicious. I ordered a side of onion rings not realising my lunch came with a huge onion rings. There was so much on our plates we ended up asking for a tray to bring the leftovers home to pick on later but when we got back to south Wales we were still stuffed and couldn't eat it. Our dog approved of his snack 😁 Well definitely call there again if we're up Bristol way again

Great little pub within easy walking access to Ashton Court Estate. We stayed overnight here while we visited a festival. The bar manager/owner? was very attention/friendly even though it was very busy. Cosy, well equipped rooms although a little noisy with road noise as only single pain windows so understandable. Portion sizes are huge, we ate at lunch and breakfast the next morning.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday and generally found it very good. Whilst there is no on site parking there is plenty on on road parking close by.  …
