Good location for Bristol airport. However, it is located on a busy, main road. Not good if you need a walk after a long drive. …

Bridgewater Farm, a place where even the simplest of requests, like reducing my two-night stay to one, submitted a week before arrival, is met with the deafening sound of... nothing. Of course, I still showed up, like the optimist I apparently am, thinking maybe, just maybe, someone would actually acknowledge my existence. Spoiler alert: they didn’t. Instead, I was left calling the owner because none of the door codes I’d been sent worked. And true to form, the owner decided to ignore me in real-time. After several desperate attempts to gain access, I finally received the correct code, around 20 minutes after I arrived. I guess they were really building suspense. But once inside, the fun really began. Fixtures seemed to fall off furniture just by looking at them and my window gave me a view of what looked like a dumping ground. Inside was hotter than an oven there was absolutely no way to cool down the rabbit hutch-sized room. I am pretty sure that was spaghetti bolognese on the blind.. and the rest of the room just looked grubby. The bathroom? So tiny you could literally shower while sitting on the toilet. Quite efficient I guess but with no room to move you couldn't even get comfortable. I lasted about 30 minutes at the Farm (don't be fooled by the word Bridgewater), before deciding I’d had enough. I booked a hotel less than half a mile away, which cost me less for a single night. For that, I got a spacious room with air conditioning, a clean environment, and a real bathroom. My new hotel was also self-check-in, but came with the benefit of receiving everything I needed within 30 seconds of my booking. Standing around waiting and getting sressed after a 5-hour drive isn't a preference of mine, so this was a bonus. Bridgewater is really good at one thing... ignoring guests, I’ve since complained, only to be met with more silence.I have updated this review with the owner's response....

This guesthouse is the most dreadful place I've ever been. Having read the reviews recently the manager is reply calling people tossers so that's horrific. If you don't like honest reviews do something about your place! …
