I rolled up to The George needing food on a Monday night in July after they'd just had a busy weekend with a village festival...I also had two dogs in tow. They couldn't have been more helpful. …

Booked 2 nights in a super king room. Bedroom was lovely and bed one of the comfiest we have slept in with lovely pillows. Only disappointment was the bathroom which was a little tired and didn’t have a shower head of any kind. …

The staff were friendly and fitted us in even though we didn’t have a booking. Enjoyed the Thursday night pie and pint deal. The black pudding and steak pie was delicious (buttery pastry and well filled) and the gravy was so rich and tasty! We thought the desserts were a bit expensive in comparison to other places, but still nice.

We had the pleasure of staying at the George at Nunney during the weekend of the Nunney fayre. The entire inn was tastefully decorated with a mix of contemporary with the ancient. …

Treated to Sunday lunch here. The service was good, the rear dining room rather chilly and not resolved when it was mentioned. The food was good, though we felt on the expensive side. Lovely roast potatoes. A big downfall though is the lack of a toilet for disabled patrons. The ladies had two cubicles both of which were very compact. The door missed the toilet seat by no more than a couple of millimetres. This alone would preclude me returning which is a shame. I have mobility issues, anyone truly disabled or in a wheelchair wouldn't be able to use them at all. I read the reviews before booking, I never dreamt I needed to ring to enquire about the loos.
