Overall, the team/staff were very kind and pleasant, but I would not stay here for the pricing they list. 500-600£ a night is not what these rooms are worth. They're about 200£ a night rooms, if that. …

We stayed on a quiet Monday and Tuesday in a wet October, using the hotel as a base for trips nearby, outside Bath. The first pleasant surprise was being upgraded on arrival. They didn't have to do that, but it was a great start! …

Our stay was absolutely incredible and unforgettable. I proposed to my partner during our time here, and after letting the staff know in advance, they went above and beyond to make it truly special. …

The staff were absolutely fantastic all the way through booking, arrival & departure. The hotel is a perfect spot within walking distance from the city centre but feels like it’s own oasis away from the city. I couldn’t fault a thing! They made our babymoon so very special. Thank you!

My wife and I visited for afternoon tea as part of a birthday celebration. The location was lovely, full of character and as it was a dry day weatherwise, we sat in a large reception room to the rear of the building with the doors open to …

Stunning hotel, exceptional service. Plus we had a free upgrade - thank you very much! Close to the city to drive/or grab a taxi. We walked on one day which took around half an hour. The food at The Pantry was delicious on both nights. Will definitely be staying again.

This place is like a fairy tale. It’s charming and rustic with a presence of calm and relaxation. The furniture and decor all transport you to a time in the past. The garden and grounds are absolutely breathtaking with lots of gorgeous flowers and trees that are over 200 years old. The service is personal and welcoming. All of that adds up for a wonderful stay. Breakfast is pretty decent, the staff is super attentive, charming, and nice. What shines is dinner at the restaurant. I highly recommend their outstanding dinner. The spa is also excellent and I highly recommend getting a massage.

Today was my first trip to The Bath Priory. I went for lunch, but asked to see a couple of bedrooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and so obliging, taking time out to show me 2 bedrooms, which were absolutely beautiful, every detail had been thought out and each room so different.I have difficult dietary requirements, and the chef couldn't have been more helpful. The food, in the bar area, tapas style, was superb. It was interesting and beautifully presented. The gardens were beautiful, with many different seating areas. All in all, the whole experience was most certainly 5 star.

The hotel is beautiful and the amenities are nice. I wouldn't call this a 5 star hotel as the service is absolutely not 5 star. It's a 4 star hotel. The service was lacking especially at the bar. The gentleman there was somewhat condescending and also was not there most nights. The casual restaurant only serves tapas which is somewhat useless and they should have full meals to order especially on nights their full restaurant is closed. The hotel is incredibly hot in the summer. We stayed in June and had two fans in our room and it was still very uncomfortable. The hotel has leashes on the windows that will only allow them to open about two inches, so the airflow is awful. The room was decorated nicely but was also a little tired and needs some refreshing. The indoor pool and spa are great and the grounds are gorgeous. It's about a 20ish minute walk into town or a quick bus ride. It's nice to be outside of the busy part of Bath.

We came for Afternoon Tea. The venue and the food were great, no questions here. The service was friendly, yet it did not meet our expectations and I‘m sure it did not meet their own standards either. Afternoon Tea is about the experience not necessarily about the food. Waiting times were long and some oders got forgotten. For a price tag of 49£ per head, I hoped for a little more. Nevertheless, we came as a family and had a jolly good time.
