Embark on a Luxurious Cruise Around Africa—Exploring 26 Nations in 90 Days
To join Seabourn’s latest African voyage, you'll need to secure 10 visas in advance (and possibly a new passport). Set to launch on November 30, 2024, this journey will take you around Africa, stopping at 44 ports across 26 countries over three months.
“This itinerary is truly exceptional, offering Seabourn travelers the chance to delve into this captivating and diverse area—from ancient ruins and archaeological wonders to lush oases, wildlife, deserts, and vibrant cities,” shares Seabourn’s president, Natalya Leahy, with Dinogo.
The Journey
The voyage kicks off in Spain, starting in Barcelona with a visit to Mallorca. Following that, the cruise will spend two days in Tunisia and a day in Malta. After crossing the Adriatic Sea, guests will explore Israel, Egypt, and Oman. As the new year approaches, the 450-passenger Seabourn Sojourn will arrive in Seychelles, an archipelago of 115 islands, before continuing to East Africa, visiting Kenya, Tanzania, Mayotte, Madagascar, and Mozambique.
Following that, travelers will enjoy over a week in South Africa, exploring cities such as Durban and Cape Town, along with a three-day visit to Namibia.

As the ship heads north along the western coast, it will stop in Angola, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Gambia, and Senegal, with a side trip to Cape Verde and the Canary Islands, before returning to Africa for final destinations in Morocco and Algeria, concluding in Barcelona.
“Our goal was to create an itinerary that showcases the diverse offerings of Africa—from wildlife experiences and tropical reefs to cultural insights and ancient ruins,” Leahy explains. “We aimed to select ports that would facilitate rich African adventures while introducing fresh, unique experiences for seasoned travelers, alongside classic stops for first-time visitors to Africa.”
Adventures
Seabourn is currently exploring potential excursions, with Leahy mentioning a range of options, from half-day tours to multi-day adventures (available in both group and private formats). Highlights will include thrilling experiences like game drives in Kenya and Tanzania, exploring the pyramids of Egypt, snorkeling in Seychelles, visiting cultural landmarks in Jerusalem, and embarking on a multi-day journey to Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls.
