El Pillax Lanta Resort

Came here from another resort and used their beautiful pool....great day!!

Stop searching, El Pillax Lanta Resort is where you want to stay in Ko Lanta! It is the perfect beachfront resort! Beautiful property, perfect location right on the beach, pool with ocean views, excellent food and drinks, and service beyond compare!Rooms are beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, mini fridge, excellent storage for your clothes and toiletries, full size hair dryer, private patios with drying racks for your swimsuit, tinted windows for extra privacy. The rooms are spotlessly clean and just perfect.The resort has a beautiful pool overlooking the ocean. Nice pool towels and plenty of lounge chairs. There’s a small waterfall and a separate shallow section for kids. The resort is definitely child friendly but we felt very comfortable there as a couple on a romantic getaway.Food was excellent. They have an optional breakfast buffet with a huge selection of Thai and Western foods including freshly made crepes. Full service bar with cocktails and amazing juice smoothies. They do different dinner specials throughout the week so be sure to check those out as well. The food was delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. This is ocean front dining at its best!And the service. Wow. All of the staff were so polite and helpful. But the owner went so far above and beyond to help us, I can’t even begin to express my gratitude. We had booked a van transport to the airport and the van never showed up. We were absolutely panicking, as this potentially had us missing our international flight home. The owner was on her way to pick up her kid from school and saw us stranded. She first tried contacting the van service. When they failed to answer, she called multiple private taxi services until she found someone to come immediately to pick us. After securing this last second airport transportation for us, instead of driving off, she insisted we come inside her air conditioned vehicle to wait for the taxi to arrive. She truly cared. Not only was it nice to get out of the heat, just her being there and making sure the taxi showed up and that we were taken care of, it was so comforting in such a high stress situation.That level of service, of truly caring about your guests, going above and beyond to ensure your guests are taken care of, it’s something you can’t find in many places.There are many choices of hotels in Ko Lanta but this is the best! El Pillax is the perfect mix of comfort, style, location, great value, and exceptional service. We loved our stay here and hope to come back the next time we are in Thailand.

We have been visiting this resort and pool (we are not staying here) a few times in February and April and always have the best experience. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the food is so fresh, and it leads right onto the quiet part of the beach. Can’t recommend enough!

We really enjoyed it! Good rooms with nice soft beds, which were made every day. The air conditioning works extremely well and is quiet. We also received new towels and bottles of water every day.The employees are extremely friendly and do everything they can to provide comfort.The pool was great and had nice sunbeds. They also have lovely sunbeds on the beach, where you can really relax. Good drinks and food and finally, your clothes will be washed for a good price.

Gorgeous resort by the beach with a nice pool and nature, birds singing every morning. They picked us up from Saladan pier. We had a bungalow with a private pool, closest to the mosque, not one of the 7 nights did it wake or disturb us. Unfortunately there was no more buffet or fireshow, although they did have a small fireshow one night. The beach is great but in the afternoon when the tide is low you can't swim in it. But with a scooter you can get anywhere. Breakfast for 200 bht was very good. I recommend it.

We had a big problem with bed bugs.We spoke to the manager and asked for another room. The situation escalated and we left early. Incredible behavior!
