Choose any other property to stay at in Ranong. Seriously. This place has million dollar views, and that's about it. Come and visit at sunset, take your photos, then head back into town where better options await. The room we stayed in is part of a building that doesn't appear to have had any upkeep done to it in 40 years. The entire property is a decrepit shambles of disused buildings and long-forgotten amenities left in utter disrepair. The pool shown in the photos appears idyllic, whereas in real life the staff admit to it not being kept in proper condition, and warned me against using it as the filters weren't operable. Moreover, the pool area appeared totally abandoned with shallow sections having completely silted up with dirt and the water in the deeper areas dark and brimming with god knows what. The rooms are sparse to say the least. Don't expect furniture beyond a bed. There was some handy exposed hand-made meaning an electrocution is just waiting to happen. The hot water heater above the shower in the mouldy bath appears to be decorative only. Arriving for breakfast we weren't spoken to by any staff member, seated ourselves, and then 10 minutes later were silently handed two plates, each containing two eggs and two sausages. Coffee was of the instant variety, from a jar riddled with ants, in a paper cup; tea was non-existent. I had to hunt around in the kitchen to find a staff member willing to check us out who had no idea who we were or whether we had paid. I genuinely cannot believe this place is in business.

The past is probably good.It's old now.

It's an old resort with a beautiful view, next to the sea and brackish water. The atmosphere is very good. The price is acceptable for a thousand trees. There's also breakfast.
