Had a very bad experience at Bow Thong Resort. Upon arrival a dirty room that smelled of mold. There were stains in the bedding, there was dirt behind the bed and mattress and the bedding had clearly not been replaced.After saying this, we were allowed to go to another room that was a little less remote but still dirty bedding and dirt around the bed. You don't get your money back and they are not friendly. When you enter the site there is rubbish everywhere and even around the reception and restaurant there is rubbish and rubbish everywhere.Please don't go here there are much better resorts on Koh Tao!!!

The holsters were really rude and didn’t help us with are rooms problem, just save yourself from staying there

The rudest staff you can imagine. Avoid this place at all costs, I wish I had read more reviews about this place on Google before staying here. We’re cutting our holiday short and leaving because they are so horrible. ||||Don’t ruin your holiday also. Note that Palm Leaf next door is run by the same people.

PLEASE READ!! I highly recommend to everyone to READ the bad reviews first about this place. LEFT IN TEARS with 2 nights left already paid. This people is ABSOLUTELY RUDE AND AGRESSIVE, they don’t like people at all… wouldn’t even want to order a coffee anymore afraid of their reaction when you ask for something. The worse are the owners who screamed to me and bang the table when I told them I didn’t want to stay anymore because of their rudeness and the way they treated me. Don’t ruin your holiday staying here…..

Do not come here. Wish I had read all the reviews about the staff before coming here. Asking anything feels like you are asking them a favour. Be aware that Palm Leaf next door and Bow Tong are essentially the same place. We weren’t aware of that when booking. We are leaving 2 days early with my girlfriend in tears the way the staff have treated her and ruined our holiday. Attached is the view of the “Superior Deluxe Beach front room” we paid extra for.This place and Palm Leaf next door - AVOID. They do not care for their customers and don’t deserve to be running a “resort” which is actually more like a caravan park.

A paradise difficult to leaveA charming manager, caring for you, available and very attentive.A magnificent beach at your feet.The few dogs that walk there are very friendly and we never heard them bark.The geographical location is perfect. Quiet but on Saïree and close to shops and restaurants.

We had an amazing stay here at the second bungalow from the ocean- we could hear waves crashing with the doors closed and AC on. We found the bungalow and bathroom to be large, and we loved how close this resort was to the end of the Sairee Beach. It was quiet and not as crowded. They offer motorbike rentals, kayaks, paddle board rentals, and were helpful with booking the ferry back to Samui to make everything as easy as possible for us. It’s definitely no frills, but to me, nothing tops seeing the ocean from your porch/front doors.

Had a bungalow on the beach. Very simple room with a fan (no AC), which was a bit difficult during high season, the bathroom didn't feel completely fresh, but the cleaning was good. Strabdhundarba had a lot of fun outside at night (every night!) which made it difficult to sleep as the cabin walls were thin. The manager was a wonderful character who had a good grasp of the resort, we really liked her! The location is fantastic! A bit away from the restaurants. We ate breakfast and lunch at the hotel and it was great.

We had a really good experience staying at Bowthong resort. We stayed at Deluxe beachfront bungalow for 3 nights. Everything was perfect here, very friendly staffs, amazing food and especially auntie (who owned the resort) she was really kind to us. We will come back for here for the next time we visit koh tao for sure!!

The place is not a resort, it’s a bunch of bungalows all together with a small bar.The bungalows are average, the bathrooms are really old.Watch out because the owners have both this place and the next one, Palm Leaf, and they will put you on one or another based on availability
