It is Thailand's second largest island located in Surat Thani. There is also a large supermarketThere are no inconveniences on the island, so you can easily go and enjoy it.You can also go by planeIt is better to take a bus from Khao San Road and go by boat, or take a train and go by boat. You can see many different places and it's more fun.Recommended.

Koh Samui is a lovely island and I can see why a lot of Europeans come here to have a tropical holiday. Let’s start with the negatives for me. The coastal areas are devoted to tourism. So you won’t see much of the ‘real Thailand’ here. It’s bars, resorts, tourist shops etc. and at night lots of people touting their businesses at you. The other thing, and this can be a shock to Australians, is the guests smoking everywhere. As most of these are Europeans I know that smoking in the resort’s restaurant, or by the pool is normal, but as someone used to the smoking rules in Australia comes as a bit of a shock. Especially as there are ‘no smoking’ signs everywhere that are ignored. Now the good bits. The Thai people one of are the nicest and patient that I’ve met. Also if you want to have a relaxing tropical holiday and/or party this is a perfect place. I would suggest at least once to take a tour that takes you away from the touristy coastal areas and see a bit more of the island.
