Please, be warned! We made a reservation months ago based on the beautiful photos and high rating and were given a family-house that turned out to be surrounded by ants, with no closet, no windows that could be opened, 1 bed without a mosquito net and big holes in all the others.And most important, outside this house, absolutely not the beautiful promised view. We looked out onto a road, parked cars and a dilapidated building.Both the inside of the house and outside was so disappointing that we made the choice to find and reserve another place in Khoa Sok out of necessity.When we left Silver Cliff we were promised communication as to a possible refund. They did not do this nor reply to two reminder text messages from me. Then they suddenly cancelled our reservation with booking.com, claiming we had never arrived (this according to the website). This was a lie and probably a dirty trick meant to prevent us from leaving a negative review at booking.com. And we still needed to pay for all of it.I want to at least warn other potential renters to NOT rent the family-room. There were also some beautiful places but the one we got was definitely not that. I would suggest to just not take this risk. There are many other places out there to choose from. I’ve added some pictures as proof and show what we looked upon outside our given family-house. Please compare for yourself with the pictures that they advertise with.And to the people who run the Silver Cliff resort: please be more honest and clear about the places you rent out and treat your renters with a bit more respect and courtesy. I don’t think that’s too much to ask and would have prevented this very disappointing final location to our otherwise fantastic Thailand holiday.

What a disappointment! The bed is simply from another age. A shame to praise this. A room is made for resting. With the springs going through your back, impossible. Constant water in the bathroom which is very unpleasant because we get the inside of the cabin wet and it doesn't dry. A hellish mess every night until 4 a.m. because of a group (Nordic language) who respects nothing, who sneak into the kitchens during the day and help themselves to the fridges without anything being said to them, very strange…we really felt in danger. And then we are far from everything, prisoners of paid shuttle schedules which weigh on the budget. Almost obligatory to have lunch and dinner on site. It's pretty good, the portions are very decent, but much more expensive than in the village. The staff is very friendly but with no room service it doesn't do much good. No one at night to stop the mess, it’s a shame. The excursions offered are priced much higher than anywhere else... The stream where you are offered swimming is dirty, unmaintained, in short, a big disappointment. Even if it meant hearing noise at night, I would have liked it to be that of “the jungle” and not the stupid cries of these imbeciles who really ruined everything for us. I will allow myself 3 pieces of advice: absolutely change the infamous bedding of the B1, provide a dry bathroom and provide a small squeegee to be able to evacuate the water if necessary (a slight slope towards the outside, at the design would undoubtedly have solved the problem) and finally, leave staff on site at night to avoid the intolerable excesses of disrespectful people who, through their nocturnal actions, spoil the stay of honest vacationers.

I loved staying at this place! It really felt like an adventurous jungle experience! We had some ants in the room, which we didn’t mind since that’s something that just comes with staying at a place like this, but the staff were so helpful and nice! The food they served was also really great, but a little bit expensive! The location was beautiful, you’re surrounded by wonderful nature. It is a bit far from the living world, so you have to take a taxi if you’d like to get to the city center. The rooms were clean and comfortable! For the price we payed, this was definitely worth it! They also offer a lot of activities to do near the resort. (they also have the sweetest ginger cat! definitely interact with him!) We loved staying here!

Ask for the prices of the tours!! You have to pay almost double if you are going alone for the night safari for example! For 2 people it’s 700 baht per person, for me it was 1200 baht… and it rained all day so we didn’t even see a lot of animals even and you pay at check out so I just only knew this after I went on the tour! Everything else was okay, the place is beautiful, the food was really good but I spent more money than anticipated…

Very basic but overall good on a tight budget. It was quiet and cosy, we were given a nice local flower infused cold drink on arrival and could check in a couple of hours early. Although the room had no air-con there were 2 good fans and it was cool. It was definitely an authentic experience. The restaurant food is well priced and very yummy I recommend the chicken tenders and fries which are an appetiser but you get loads for only 120 baht!! They also have plenty of tours on offer although we didn’t do them as we found them slightly cheaper elsewhere and booked with the companies privately. The shower was freezing cold and the hut had small gaps so lots of mosquitoes could get in although there were nets. We were also given no soap or hand towel. Our hut was also extremely tiny with no room for bags and when getting into the top bunk it is extremely difficult and I really hurt my leg.

Bamboo bungalows are very simple. I would recommend upgrading your room to a bigger hut. Beds are more comfortable and you can get the same jungle experience. No hot water :)

The staff are super friendly and super lovely, the rooms however are small but very cute, a fantastic novelty to stay in a bamboo hut with the river flowing next to you, the reason why it is a 4 and not a 5 is the lack of power in the room, lighbulbs were awful.

Avoid these scammers! They overcharge for everything, double check your bills. Terrible broken bungalows to let all insects and animals in. They will tell you it's the true jungle style but the place is in the middle of an oil plantation. Most people just can't see the difference. Any bad review on booking and people will get blamed for trying to run without paying. The staff will not help you with anything and give you fake info just to squeeze more money on stuff they sell themselves, anything else does not exist. Overall a terrible experience with worst people owning/managing the place.

We extended our stay several times.The place is relaxing, beautifully located and well maintained. The team is very nice and helpful, the rooms are just what you need for a short stay!Please note, the hot water available depends on the price you pay for the room. But honestly it's not disturbing because it's always hot.We booked a day outing on Cheow Lan Lake, great day, but keep in mind that the day involves more than 2 hours of return bus to get to the starting point of the outing.Small downside: we thought that the taxi service offered when we arrived to go to the center and rent a scooter was free, but no, the fare is 150Bhat.A bit expensive, especially when you learn that the owner of the taxi we hired could take it to the resort for free.Another downside, the breakfasts were much too expensive for what they were. We didn't have a price reduction even though we only had 2 rusks, 2 small industrial pancakes and scrambled eggs instead of the full breakfast indicated, too bad.Otherwise, by scooter, the place is 5 minutes from the center of Khao Sok, where you can find lots of nice places for big, inexpensive breakfasts 😊Great stay overall.

It's OK, very cheap but also quite isolated and food is double what you'll pay in the village. They no longer offer the complimentary shuttle bus to town either. If you have a scooter then it's definitely worth it, otherwise you might feel frustrated with the lack of options nearby, relatively expensive food and limited transport.

My husband and I stayed at Silver Cliff for 2 nights and it felt like a true jungle experience! The grounds of the hotel are well kept, there is a cute outdoor gym, cute cats, the restaurant/reception area is good for hanging out, and the rooms are definitely rustic (no AC/tv/mini bar, etc. but that’s not what you come here for!). We had a nice bed, clean sheets, clean towels, soap is provided in the shower and you get bottled drinking water - everything we needed! There were also a few outlets to charge our phones, a fan pointed at your bed, and a mosquito net to keep the bugs away.There were many stairs up to the room, a few up to the bedroom, and a few down to the bathroom, so it would not be suitable for a person with mobility issues.It was super easy to book activities - we did a night hike in Khao Sok National park and a full day lake tour. Prices were fair and we were picked up and dropped off at the hotel for everything.The best part of our stay was the staff, especially Noven. I have an allergy to cashews so I was nervous about eating at the restaurant, but he made sure to take good care of me and communicate my allergy to the chef. Noven always greeted us with a big smile and always made sure we had what we needed.The food was good, a small menu but options to choose from including Thai dishes and Western dishes depending on what you feel like eating. We had our first mango sticky rice of our trip here and it was SO GOOD!Location is a little ways away from the “main” village of Khao Sok (probably 45+ mins walking? We never tried to walk it) so definitely a bit more secluded feeling.All in all, it was an amazing deal for the price with a true jungle experience, really friendly and helpful staff, and memorable experiences all around.

Our experience at Khao Sok Silver Cliff Resort was a mixed bag.The environment surrounding the place is truly lovely. It's serene and tranquil, offering a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The restaurant on-site exceeded our expectations both in terms of food quality and ambience. The meals were a delightful experience, accompanied by a charming atmosphere that enhanced the dining experience. We also liked the outdoor gym with wooden dumb bell, handmade I assume.However, our enthusiasm was dampened by the state of the unit we stayed in. Despite the promise of comfort, it fell short of expectations. The need for renovations was evident, and to make matters worse, we encountered a significant rodent issue. The presence of mice in the ceiling not only caused disturbance with their incessant noise but also resulted in dust falling onto the bed, making it uncomfortable to rest. Despite our efforts to keep the room clean, the mice still managed to infiltrate the space, even going through our belongings.This situation not only affected our comfort but also disrupted our planned activities. We had to forgo our planned activities on the last day due to the need to rest during the day, further adding to our disappointment.So, while the environment and restaurant at Khao Sok Silver Cliff Resort offer a pleasant experience, the accommodation aspect requires significant improvement. Addressing the issues of rodent infestation and the need for renovations would greatly enhance the overall guest experience and ensure a more enjoyable stay for future visitors.

Beautiful place to stay, with some of the best accommodation in Khao Sok. I had heard horror stories of accommodation available by the lake, with no aircon/fan and insects everywhere. Silver Cliff Resort, although quite far from the lake, was lovely, the cabins were spacious with a shower and toilet included and a mosquito net around the bed to protect you during the night. There was a fan to keep you cool and the location was not too far from the van station, near which you could rent motorbikes to get around.
