DO NOT COME HERE!!. TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE. From the second I got there the old lady was aggressive,hostile and unwelcoming. Screaming and shouting with and treating me like I was in a prison camp almost. Such a traumatic welcoming to khao sok village and secret hostel😥 why does this lady want to make solo travelers and customers feel so unwelcome that they almost want to cry they feel so upset. I have been traveling solo for 6 years now and this is by far the worst experience I have had with a hostel reception. Looking at previous reviews this lady’s aggressive and hostile behavior has been a problem for a long time. This is not the way to treat customers and solo travelers. Making their trip to khao sok a unwelcoming traumatic experience. NOT GOOD FOR BUISSNESS and definitely not a good representation of khao sok village! Such a shame to treat customers with such a level disrespect.

Owner was very nice and the rooms were clean and tidy. There were three of us and we had a room to ourselves, but there was also a room with about 12 beds. Breakfast was plenty and good and the 1 day tour we did was also well planned and nice. Even with lunch.

I recommend it with all my heart, a great adventure! Despite sleeping with 7 cockroaches. But how can you not have them in the water jungle? Mega expedition to the Cave! Cool experiences and great memories!

Perfect location to hike in the national park, one minute away from the entrance. I can see lots of comments about the behaviour of the owners, but from my experience the impression is totally the opposite. The woman that runs the place was really helpful and friendly, the rooms and toilets were really clean and the beds were comfy. We booked with her the two day tour in cheow lan lake and, despite it was a little bit crowdy, the experience was really nice. This is a must in Thailand.

The manager of this establishment is disgusting. For no reason she refused to let me check in despite my reservation on Booking paid in advance (probably overbooking), she refused to reimburse me for my reservation then asked her husband to physically threaten me (with a iron bar) to get me out. I was finally able to get the money back by threatening to call the police and filming the scene. To flee !

When we arrived at the agency, we met what appeared to be the manager. At first glance quite nice, we quickly realized that she was only interested in money. She sells us the adventure as being wild, in a group of 20 people for two days.Once there we realize that the group is not 20 but 120 people. We might as well tell you that the wild side is missed, one more lie to make us pay for it.Moreover, regarding the length of the stay, a new lie... Indeed we left the port on the lake around 12:30 p.m., returning at 1:30 p.m. the next day. Barely 24 hours basically.In the activities, it is noted that there is a visit to a local market before taking the boat, it is mainly a supermarket to buy alcohol for those who want before leaving. Yet another lie.On top of all this, we were supervised by a guide, who in addition to shouting, restrained us. For example, we only had 10 minutes before eating to go to the bathroom, and barely 30 minutes of timed swimming.In short, an experience still beautiful in terms of its landscapes, but spoiled by the organization we went through. We therefore absolutely do not recommend it, it is better to pay a little more to be alone than in a large group.

We booked 2 days and one night with Secret tour.We were terribly disappointed by the experience. In 4 months of traveling this is the worst we have done.We left 1 hour late.The guide was unbearable, Mr Bhao shouted all the time. No wonder a group of 60 for one guide is unmanageable. There were 4 of them but only one took care of us because the others did not speak English.It felt like a summer camp.The boat was so noisy that we could never have seen a single animal.Run away and according to friends, I recommend Yellow hostel!

Basic hostel, rooms with AC and a towel as blanket, bathroom floors are constantly flooded. Lady at the reception is not the friendliest. We booked a 2 day tour to Khao Sok national park. Don't take the tour with Mr. Bhao. Not enjoyable as this guy just keeps shouting 24/7.

DO NOT STAY HERE.Lady was unfriendly and aggressive from the start, and eventually scammed us.Rooms were relatively clean but lack of plug sockets around the beds and lack of curtains were an issue. No blanket, just a big towel. Bathrooms were constantly drenched and massively flooded, with no extractor fan or window to dry them out. Room stank constantly of mould and the air con started leaking. The owner stormed into our room at 9am and started shouting morning and woke up half the room.When we left, we had a ticket for a minivan booked for 11:20, we asked for a taxi from reception, and she said she’d order one and it’d be 150 baht for the three minute drive. She said the bus left at 12, and that she’d called the bus place and checked us in. The taxi arrived at 11:50, and low and behold when we got there they said our ticket was no longer valid, and we had to pay another 1,500 baht each to get to our next destination. We were a bit naive to believe we didn’t need to be there for 11:20, but we had trusted her. When calling her at the bus station, she immediately hung up when I told her we had to pay for a new ticket.All a massive scam and bad experience.

We did the 2 day secret tour in Khao Sok with the secret hostel. The rooms at the national park are the most basic i have ever seen. Zero elektricity, no netting against insects and a matrass that is as hard as a coffin, which i am sure are more comfortable. Other tours offer cabins with atleast a lamp, fan and some netting. The activities were okay at best. The sound of the engine of the boats scare away all animals from a mile away so to call them safari's is farfetched. Also no explenation is given about anything in the jungle or the park. The food provided was pretty decent and the cave walk was also quite a good experience. You will get 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 1 dinner. All in all it is okay but the room and the lack of sleep really brought that down.

The place is very nice and clean, it is well acclimatized and the rooms are very spacious. But the best thing is the treatment, since the kindest and most attentive people in Thailand are the owners of this hostel. If I can return to Thailand one day, I will definitely stay with this hostel again. Kap khun krap, Secret Hostel!!!! 🙂🙂

The woman at the reception is super nice, warm and attentive.The quality-price ratio of this hostel is also very good and is one of the best we have found in Thailand.The location is perfect, two minutes from an entrance to the National Park and right on the main street.Very rich breakfasts.100% recommendable!!

Wowwww being welcomed by the warm mama Patch. What an amazing lady running this cute, clean hostel next to the entrance of kao sok national park!! Spent soo much time researching an adventurous tour into the park and some experience this was!! 3 days, 2 nights, amazing hike into the jungle, sleeping there, and the second night in gorgeous floating bungalows faaar onto the lake. Overall my absolute best experience in thailand so far!!! Definite recommendation!!!
