Whilst we only stayed 2 nights Phaeti was a very welcoming and chatty host. Gave us some very good touring tips. Comfy bed, mini bar and lovely breakfast. Good air-conditioned room. Lovely setting where you can relax away from the hustle of the city, yet still only a 10 minute drive to the centre. Would recommend.

Great place. Outside the center, but transport is easily arranged. Very nice family suite in a tropical garden with swimming pool, where you can relax even if you don't feel like going out. The owners are super hospitable and are happy to provide you with excursion tips off the beaten track.

Our first holiday in Thailand started with a stay at Homestay Chiang Rai, in the northern part of Thailand. What a wonderful place to start your holiday with the Brabant conviviality of Tony and the Thai cooking skills of Phaet. Both super nice, hospitable and they can provide you with all the information for a first visit to Thailand.Homestay is located just outside Chiang Rai. Location is quiet, garden is beautiful and a nice swimming pool to cool off in. We were allowed to go with Phaet to the local market on the 2nd day in the morning, where she immediately gave explanations and advice about everything.There is plenty to do in the area; visit various temples, waterfalls, local markets,... etc. At Homestay you have the option to rent a scooter or bicycle. We mainly used the "Grab". Homestay also a very good base for a trek through Northern Thailand over several days (e.g. towards the golden triangle).Homestay was a great start for our first visit to Thailand and highly recommended. If we are in Northern Thailand again on our next holiday, we will definitely stay with Tony and Phaet in Homestay Chiang Rai again.

What a wonderful place. Tony and Phaety are super nice, sweet and friendly people who welcome you warmly and really want you to enjoy yourself. The bungalows are attractive. The swimming pool is lovely. The breakfasts and food are delicious. There are even homemade bitterballen, but the Thai dishes are especially great. Scooter routes with the scooters rented there and associated route notes are great!!! Tony's Brabant accent made me feel completely at home😉. We laughed and enjoyed a lot. If I ever come to Chiang Rai again I will definitely go back to this place.

Lovely place with lovely staff and owner! We loved the rooms (beautiful and clean), the swimming pool, the restaurant, and cocktails (we tried dinner only as we always left too early for breakfast). They can call a masseuse for you if you want (quite good!). It's peaceful, quiet and with a nice garden. Definitely recommend as long as you have your own car (we rented one at the airport), otherwise it's too far from the city center and tours. There are a few local food options at walkable distance but quite limited. 15-minute drive from Chiang Rai center.

I stayed in a bungalow and it was a fantastic room, very clean and comfortable, with all amenities.The most beautiful places to visit in Thailand.rice fields and tea plantations, temples, river trips, scooter trips, village visits, hot water springs, Nice food & shopping, etc.

Antoon and Phaety are very nice hosts. The property is incredibly beautiful and the food is absolutely delicious.We stayed one night in the “Deluxe Suite” which was really great.The following two nights we stayed in the “twin room”. This room was really fine for us, but the bathroom was outside. In our opinion, there was an indefinable smell in both the hallway and the bathroom, even stinking. Afterwards we were annoyed that we didn't say anything...All in all, I would recommend a stay at Homestay Chiang Rai. Definitely try the curries 😋

We arrived here quite late. A very warm welcome by the owner who prepared a delicious meal for us. The owner also came and sat down for a while. We felt very welcome. Very nice garden and rooms. Too bad we were only there for 1 day due to our tight travel schedule.

It is an incredible place for everything, the kindness of the managers, the well-kept garden with pool, the delicious breakfast and the beautiful room. Very close to the center by motorcycle or car. There is parking. I came for one night and stayed for 3. I would repeat and recommend it.
