The hotel is pretty, given the seaside setting with infinity pool, modern room and large bathroom, we ultimately noticed some disappointing details.Firstly, the hotel seems very poorly referenced on GPS applications. We had difficulty finding it, and access is not good. Otherwise the hotel is well equipped, but is it missing basic things, like soap for the bathroom sink or in the shower? In fact, you can either wash in the shower or wash your hands in the sink, you have to choose. We also don't have coffee/tea or anything else in the room. The infinity pool is nice, but the water is cloudy... this hotel is the most expensive we booked during our stay, it is overall nice but some things are difficult.

The room is great, it is just as it appears in the photos and meets the expectations of the reservation. On the other hand, the treatment of the staff (there is only one girl in charge of reception) left a lot to be desired. Upon our arrival they did not give us any help or information, the restaurant service was closed (and they did not notify us or tell us why), everything was problems and bad faces even when we hired the motorcycle and laundry with it. In short, the room is amazing but the stay not so much compared to other hotels we have seen on the island... since there are no common areas, no restaurant or atmosphere, nor desire to help/please/recommend at reception.

We've stayed in the beachfront room. Really great. To wake up with the view of the pool and the sea. The staff will help you with everything.
Only thing is the shower. Cold warm, it's got a mind of it's own

I stayed in the rooms, not the villas. Large and correct room. It has a swimming pool and a quiet beach in front of the rooms, ideal for relaxing. After touring the entire island by motorcycle, I think the location is very correct since it is in a very quiet area, but 5 minutes by motorcycle from one of the busiest areas, with the port, markets and activities. Plenty of space to park the motorcycle at the entrance of the hotel. The hotel itself provides pick-up service at the port, motorcycle rental and laundry.Little offer of cafes and restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner nearby. Walking along the beach 2 minutes away is a place called Tiki, if you want something else you have to walk further down the street. I highly recommend Sweet Phangan for breakfast, lunch or dinner, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel.

Great resort, really comfortable beds, probably the best in Thailand!! Make sure to book a villa near the beach! We had to move room half way through our stay and the outside areas wasn’t as nice and private compared to the villa, and there is no price variant. Staff were very kind and helpful they even dropped us off to the pier the day we left. You can rent motorcycles directly at the reception. Only negative thing, missing 2 pillows per person. Recommend 10/10

Beautiful houses with modern furnishings. The houses with a beach view are particularly great. The service is very friendly. It's a bit more remote, but not bad if you want to relax. If you want to get to the center, you can rent a scooter directly from reception.

Two nights at Samutra was so amazing!I arrived in Phangan at the pier and they had the car to pick me up just call once. When I arrived at the lobby the staff at the front desk warmly welcome and assisted me bring my bag to the villa.The villa I stayed provide garden, cozy swimming pool, kitchen, huge bath&bed room that makes me feel unbeliveable with the price I paid for.Miss San, one of staff is so kind. She always give me hands whenever I need. I can say that without Khun San's here, my life in Phangan was not in an easy way.Next time if I have chance to visit Phangan again, I will think of Samutra.

The accommodation had many different options. Had a very nice room with the pool and the sea right in front of it. The complex itself is relatively quiet as many accommodations have their own private pool. It's a bit out of the way - a slightly longer walk to the main road and about 10 minutes to 7Eleven. You can rent a scooter directly there and they also offer free transport to the pier or take you to the next hotel for a small extra charge. The beach itself is not necessarily for swimming. Nightlife is more popular in this area. However, the rooms are really very modern and clean and, above all, large. A very good price-performance ratio but really not the best location unfortunately.

Very nice little villa for a very reasonable price found on Agoda. Very well equipped: large TV, small kitchen, exceptional bathroom. Very kind staff (also offers taxi and scooter rental).

We have spent nearly 2 months in Thailand travelling around and this hotel/resort is our favourite so far. Our room is large with an extremely comfortable bed - great air conditioning - a huge TV and good WiFi. It also had a separate kitchen and bathroom - the best feature is the private plunge pool ! In addition to this there is a beachfront pool that is shared. There are larger 2 and 3 bedroom villas all with their own pools as well as our 1 bedroom villa. A great place to stay with kind and friendly staff - a lovely family feel to the resort.

We had a room with a private pool, and it was AMAZING ! It was super close to the sea, with a nice private pool and garden. The service was great, all of them very polite and friendly, and very helpful when we got a big spider in our room !! 😂😂

Great location, close to the port. Lots of pubs in the area. Helpful staff - they pick you up and take you to the ferry. You can pay for the room by card. We had a room on the first shoreline next to the pool. Sandy beach, quiet, without crowds.

A very nice resort in a great location 📍We decided on a house with a sea view and were positively surprised. The resort has a clean swimming pool and nice access to the beach.I recommend!

Points deducted for friendliness of staff, cleanliness (stains on bed linen and towels, floor), no service (reception not manned, no coffee in the room and there was nothing open, you couldn't even buy a Coke and had to go to the neighboring resort ). The villa was very nice with enough space and its own pool. The infinity pool at the beach section was also good.

Loved will stay again. They don't supply tea or coffee so be prepared to bring your own. 7/11 short walk away. Can rent scooter from the owner's.
