Brilliant quiet spot. You need transport (motor bike) but Alan and Yuki (owners) are just super people. We're going back in June.

One of our favorite places all around Bali and simply the best if you want to run away from tourist crowds. Here you'll find a variety of accommodations to stay including simple rooms, 2 floor blocks with their own kitchens, sea frontier cabins and a luxury villa up the hill. Our favorite is the blue cabin where you wake up with the sunrise and the sound of sea surf and can see nothing except the endless sea through the windows. All the facilities are clean and tidy, and the shared swimming pool is always maintained and cleaned. It's 20 minutes by bike from Amed and 3 hours from any tourist location of Bali, yet there are a number of cafes which deliver food to the point. Some of their menus are already waiting for you in the room. Our favorites are “Ibus Sea View Warung” and “Trattoria Amed”, both are 5 minutes by bike from the place. Breakfasts served onsite are simple but worthy. The only thing you should be aware of before you go here is that highly likely none of your mobile phones will find a network. So if you're about to receive calls or SMS here - it might be an issue. If you don't want to climb up the hill to receive an SMS be sure you got your things done before you go to this calm place. Meanwhile local wi-fi works really well.We spend our weekends here from time to time and always happy getting back to Gili Pesona to get away from rushes and to go snorkeling at the nearby beaches spending the evenings on the terrace of the lovely blue cabin.

The deluxe villa is absolutely worth the money. High standard over two floors. Everything clean and well maintained. Sanitary facilities are above average clean and well maintained. You can find friendly and particularly attentive staff everywhere in Bali. The oasis here also impresses with its particularly lovingly and beautifully landscaped outdoor area. The deluxe villa corresponds absolutely to western standards.

The first thing I would say about this place is it’s very far from Amed central, by this I mean 20-30 mins by scooter. The roads to the south are in quite poor condition and all of the main activities, beaches, snorkelling and restaurants are much further to the north- Staying here you are more or less as far south in the Amed tourist area as you can go.The hotel has 4 rooms, there’s a pool and a nice view of the ocean - we seated in the mid tier room option and it had a basic kitchen (which we didn’t need) and was a split level (bed upstairs, couch and small kitchen downstairs). Our room had AC upstairs. Fan downstairs - shut the blinds so it doesn’t get too hot from the sun.Hot water in the shower was quite poor and we had to request fresh towels on the days we needed them - they don’t make up your room at all.Breakfast is brought in from offsite and is pretty basic (choose from one of something like Nasi goreng / mi goreng / basic omelette). You have to decide what time you want it and what you want the day before. There’s a lot better value options- cheaper and better located. We ended up away from the hotel most of the day and mostly coming back just to sleep.Wouldn’t stay again based on all this, much better value options out there.
