I don't usually write long reviews, but this hotel (and its manager) well deserve it!We have been at Kayu Kuning Cottage for 3 days, and we could not have been more comfortable. Made, who runs the place, is absolutely lovely!Our bathroom broke on the first day, we told him about it while we were already outside the hotel, and he himself moved our things to a new room, and left them exactly the same as we had them in the previous one (asking our permission beforehand).The day we were leaving we needed a private ferry to go to Lembongan, since there was an error with the next hotel we had booked, and he was in charge of finding us a reliable and punctual one, and even took us to the port so we knew which one it was and He waited until we boarded, making sure everything was correct. The involvement and kindness of this man is incredible. Clean and calm but for the ones that have phobias from bugs and lizards. I don't advice you at all. The place is full of big . Veryyyyy big lizards . The biggest I've ever seen . And i hated it . I couldn't sleep at all .

Kayu Kunning Cottage is decent but VERY isolated. It's very dark here and somewhat spooky when the sun has gone down. The owner promised on arrival to pick us up at the port but didn't come!?? During our stay, the room was not cleaned and there was a lack of water, soap, coffee and toilet paper every day. The owner was difficult to communicate with and we had to follow up on agreements several times. On the last morning we were cheated when the owner ordered us a WAY TOO EXPENSIVE taxi to the port. He laughed as we left. The place is tired and needs some love and is unfortunately way too expensive for what you get for the money!! I would choose another place.

We had a lovely, relaxing and quiet stay at Kayu Kuning Cottage. The little cottage we had was great and the staff were excellent. They were also great catering to specific dietary requirements and the breakfast was amazing! Thank you for great advice on nearby restaurants (make sure to visit AMARTA Penida which is only a 15min walk away with beautiful views) and for helping to organise a driver for us. We would highly recommend to anyone staying on Nusa Penida.

Very peaceful place (if you can't hear the sound)The dogs fight with each other all the time, barking and barking, and it's really driving me crazy. It gets even more chaotic in the middle of the night. I haven't slept properly in 5 nights and 6 days. No one can control a dog's barking.I think I'll make Kang Hyeong-wook wear an anti-barking collar as well.They said it would be 125k for the car to the port, but later they charged 150k. Be careful. I also bought 3 bottles of water, but I heard that I bought 4 bottles. There is no way to prove it, so I paid for 4 bottles. If possible, it would be better to pay right away.Renting a motorcycle costs 100k per day, but there are places where you can rent a motorcycle for 50-70k if you walk 50m.

Great place to stay - bungalows are quiet and peaceful with a large pool outside to relax by, I’d recommend staying a few nights as the island is quite big and a nice place to relax.You can hire a scooter from the owner for 90k per day, we used this to get around and it was great, good quality scooter and the host was helpful with information about roads and traffic ect, as it can get very busy on the roads from 9-4pm from tour groups.Free breakfast is great too, choice of eggs with toast + fresh fruit and a drink.Great location, close to the port (short drive) and there are restaurants nearby, would highly recommend!Only improvement would be more sun loungers - maybe 2 more to make the place perfect!

No hot water, no towels, only if you ask for it, insects, bugs everywhere in your room and bathroom. Even a worm appeared in our bathroom in the middle of the night, see picture attached! We asked before arriving if they have single beds, they said sure, then oh sorry only double… We booked another room from them for the next night, they said no problem, then we arrived after dinner and turns out that they have no rooms available.

It was my first time travel to Nusa Penida and i stayed at Kayu kuning cottage. I felt in love with the scenery of Nusa Penida and i love to stay at Kayu Kuning Cottage 😘 This is the best cottage i've ever stay in Bali, the room is very clean and cozy , i will come back to stay here again 😎

It was my first time to travel in Nusa Penida and i stayed at Kayu Kuning Cottage. I really love the architecture of this cottage is so instagramable and very clean. I enjoyed my trip to Nusa Penida and will back soon and stay at Kayu Kuning Cottage again 😘

The cottage room (house is an overstatement) was spotless. Host helped as much as possible while we were there. However a lot of construction going on outside with people shouting. In the end we couldn't sleep for the most of the night due to dogs barking and cockerels roaring since 3/4 am (not sunrise). The location is notcentral but the island a lot more rural than we expected. We decided to leave 2 days early. The owner never asked why, what was wrong or offered a refund as she didnt care I guess. We had paid upfront.

This is a fantastic place to stay! I have stayed here in november for 4 nights and the room (house) is fresh and clean. Location is quiet but near by everything. The people whom work here make the place perfect, so friendly and helpful. One day i will go back and as soon as the pool is finished, this is a 5 star review :D. Thank you all for making my stay so nice!
