The room is too dark and I can't see clearly even if I turn on the lights all the way. The lights outside the room are too far away and I have to walk a short distance to turn them off.

I loved my villa deluxe and the locals host are super nice. The area is amazing because you feel the quiet of the place in the middle of the nature and at the same time you have everything close by.

A long winded rant. The complete lack of communication regarding our booking prior to our stay was a major concern. The access to the villa is a walk ok 500+ meters and we are in our early 70's. The booking was non refundable so we requested a refund. We recieved absolutely no replies despite numerous requests and so we went ahead with the booking. The walk is doable despite battling with the motorbikes and the transport of never ending construction materials to the many villas being built in this area. The air conditioner failed the second night with no fan as a backup. The mosquito net allowed NO air movement with the 2 doors open so we sweltered through the night with little or no sleep. On reporting the aircon failure we were assured it was indeed working as the light on the unit did come on! After a 10 minute lesson explaining how aircons work we were informed that a mechanic might come later. The villa itself would be fine if you just wanted a place to sleep (If the aircon worked) and cool off in the pool. There was nowhere to relax during the day, there was no table and chairs to eat the breakfast or use a computer. There was no view of the outside world. One of the two power sockets in the bedroom didn't work. And there was no fan. The kitchen was absolutely basic without decent cups, mugs, glasses and cutlery. The fridge did work ok.The area is unfortunately extremely busy and the traffic is getting to the drop of point to then walk to the villa is a major undertaking in itself.A request for a refund if we moved was ignored. We moved and cut our losses of over $400aud.

Located 20 minutes' walk from the center to the west, the villa with private swimming pool is a true haven of peace. many restaurants, bars, cafes, and quality massages are close to the site. In the middle of nature it is pleasant to be outside the hubbub of central Ubud. The equipment is comfortable, large bed, outdoor kitchen with fridge, small office lounge room opposite the bedroom separated by the swimming pool for the villa where we were (I think the other one is even better 🤩), functional air conditioning, small lunch with 4 possible choices (See photos), Magnificent open bathroom, hot water. The hosts are very responsive and really caring. When you arrive your taxi cannot take you to the villa due to the road being too narrow. Our taxi called them and they immediately arrived taking our luggage, and after us to get settled.Unbeatable value for money on site.FYI, to walk to the center of Ubud, you can rent a scooter directly from them. If you want to go there on foot, the descent does not have a sidewalk, don't worry, the length without a sidewalk is very short, around 200 meters. It's fast. 😉

The Jagi Villa is located a little away in the rice fields. Since we didn't rent a scooter and walked into town, the location was unfortunately far too remote and the route was too far. Due to the lack of cleanliness we didn't feel very comfortable. Dirty towels, stains in the bedding and the mosquito net has seen better days. Please note, there are a lot of mosquitoes there. The breakfast was okay but nothing more. But there are many good restaurants nearby. Next time I would book a more central accommodation.Nevertheless, it was lovingly furnished and the family made an effort.
