It's a place where you go to stay and feel.. very happyWe boarded the boat with Panthergo, our first trip... We recommend booking in advance only. At the pier there is a car storage service. Arriving at the island, there is a minibus that will take you to your accommodation.The first two nights..stayed at Bann Makok The Getaway. There are only 8 rooms. All the guests are lovely. Makes your stay feel warm. We stayed in room number 8 for 3,xxx per night. We really loved it. It was very difficult to reserve, but we were able to make a reservation and we were confused (happy). I recommend booking directly.The room is spacious, airy and comfortable, next to the forest, but there are no mosquitoes at all. (We went in February. Not sure about other pages)The room doesn't have air conditioning but the weather is very nice all day.Delicious food, simple breakfastThere are always kayaks available for paddling. You can paddle through the canal and go directly to the sea. The staff are very cute.Rent a motorbike and drive around for 300 baht per day (I'll let you find accommodation for me). Stay near Khlong Yai Kee Waterfall. I stopped by to drive and chill.Then I paddled my kayak and went to sit in the sun and listen to music..In the evening it was difficult to go out so I ate at the resort.. Delicious ^^ Very chill atmosphere

The accommodation is very good. Every menu is delicious. Most of the food is a large dish that can be divided among 2-3 people. The accommodation is next to the sea water canal. But you can row a boat out to sea and take the car into the hotel. The journey is quite deep. The atmosphere is quiet, there aren't many people, and the staff are good. If you're missing anything, you can ask for help. The price of our accommodation is 3700/night.

The accommodation is very cute, quiet, private, the food is delicious, the room may not have much soundproofing. The people outside could hear everything. The air conditioner turns on and off for a certain time. Those who are impatient must be patient and wait for some time. But there is a common area to lie down and play. You can go do activities. Rowing the boat for less than 10 Minutes to the beach

Very original location and accommodation type. You can shower in the jungle, face the river view, and go boating. The food is also very delicious. If you want to experience it locally and don’t worry about being too dark, you are very welcome

We only visited the restaurant. The atmosphere and setting are super lovely, with the river around. Everything is clean, and we had a good time there. Just be prepared if you are Western; the portions are a little small, so we ended up ordering a bit more than we planned. Other than that, everything was good. They had an amazing coconut shake - super nice after a hot day.

My review regards the restaurant. Now the food is terrible. I believe they have changed the staff in the kitchen because 2 months ago the food was very nice but now I can't recommend this restaurant. Everything I order was terrible even the cocktail.

This was by far the best stay we had in thailand! First of all, the staff members are very kind, helpful and experienced. The ambience of Ban Makok, a bit hidden in the mangroves of Koh Kood, was exactly what we were looking for after many somewhat trashy and loud places in Thailand. Everything was clean, authentic and had a cute vibe and atmosphere. Last but not least, the food is amaaaazing. It starts with a good varying breakfast menu, stretching to amazing fish for lunch or diner. Definitely recommended!

Accommodation recreated from a fishing village with friendly staff.The air conditioning in the room is centrally controlled and only works from 7 p.m. The WiFi works very well in the reception and restaurant areas. The signal is still available in some rooms.The relaxation zone in front of the reception is very cozy and offers a view of the river. It is possible to rent a kayak for free. Massage and moped are available for a fee. If you want to eat out or go to the center, you will also need a wheeled vehicle. The nearest beach (clean!) is within walking distance (see photo)Breakfast and dinner (both with vegetarian options) are delicious.

We rented kayaks (100 bht/h) in this heavenly place. You sail through the mangrove for about ten minutes and you come out on the sea, with a deserted and idyllic beach on the left and the Captain Cook Resort restaurant on the right (a little expensive, but justified by the location). Bann Makok rents rooms, and has a restaurant (we haven't tried it, unfortunately) the decoration of the place is magnificent, the staff is welcoming, I would really like to come back and stay in this secret place: a kayak or a paddle, a scooter, some good books, a swimsuit...heaven on earth 🫶

Would definitly NOT recommend😁: the place lies near a small clear river, full of fish, moving with the tide, in the middle of mangroves. The hotel is tastfully furnitured. It is nice to lie on the terrace and look at the river.😖: there was a very bad smell around our room and the area next to it as mentioned in many other comments. This might stem from the muddy ground but also from the toilets. Especially when the air condition is not on, this is difficult to bare. Officially air condition is on from 7:00pm to 7:00 am otherwise the room offers only a fan which does not manage to clear the air. Two nights the air condition didnt work at all. Without air condition only with a small fan it is very difficult to spend time in the room during the day, it smells and is really hot. The room itself is dark, very weak electric light, I had to read with the torch of my mobile phone, small windows with curtains. These curtains are necessary as the back of the room seems to function as an area for garbage deposit , stray dogs , their feces … this is also the entry area of the hotel.To get towels you have to ask the receptionist, it is not enough to put the dirty towels on the floor. The dirty ones are removed, but new towels are not providedRestaurant: the breakfast ( included ) is very poor. Some flakes, yoghurt, ready made juices, some fruits. You can order eggs in different forms. This would be alright, for a cheap hotel, but not for this price.Restaurant food is just ok, you can eat at many places much better, for example at shanta resort. Breakfast at mermaid cafe, which we discovered during our trip, is really great, everything homemade with bowls and croissant, homemade jam etc,Personal: except the man looking for the boats and one waiter in the restaurant the employees are arrogant and unfriendly . Especially the lady at the reception who seem to be in charge of the hotel is arrogant and passive aggressive. When you ask something, she gives you the feeling that you did something wrong or that it is too much work for her. Atypical hotel on the mangrove. Superb, clean and well-equipped room. Very friendly staff. Possibility of swimming in the mangrove directly from the room, loan of kayak, paddle and scooter rental.Calm and rest assured!
