We only stopped by here to rent a kayak. The resort appears extremely well maintained and is lovingly furnished. The rooms also looked attractive. The owner, who is from Lithuania, was very friendly and the kayak ride on the river right in front of the Watercolors terrace was very relaxing.

We fell in love with the place! Stayed there in November 2023 The location and the hotel itself are unique, we loved everything about the place, friendly and helpful host, design is lovely, rooms are big, nice and comfortable, huge bathrooms. The only thing that would make it even better is reading light or any kind of light close to bed. Other than that everything was just perfect 😍

If you read reviews of this place in the last year, you’ll see a common theme of longtime repeat customers who are less than trilled with the change in ownership. Although I did not stay here under the previous owner, I immediately understood the sentiment. New owner is absolutely riding the coattails of the previous owner and it shows. Boutique hotels are supposed to have a warm cozy feeling, this place has absolutely zero hospitality from the owner who barely even looked at me let alone wave or say hello or thanks or anything. Service from the front desk was equally abysmal. I stayed for three nights and after the first night they asked me if I wanted my room cleaned, which I thought was very strange considering that’s quite literally their job. I said yes it would be a good time as I was on my way to go out and about. Fast forward to that evening, they never cleaned the room, I mean nothing, not even taking the trash out. Wasn’t cleaned that day or any day during my three night stay.To be fair the location is great and the foundations of the hotel all quite nice, but it doesn’t deserved to be called a boutique hotel with a 4.6 rating, that was due to previous owner.

Place is clean and quiet, there is a lot of useful information lying around on what to do in Koh Chang activity-wise. The owners, as well as the employees, are kind, smart and professional. Kayaks, canoes and SUP boards available for use (renting for non-guests is possible as well).Recommending the place!

A beautiful place with all you need in walking distance. Free kayaks and kanoes, plenty of interesting activities offered by resort partners for reasonable prices.

This review is a little delayed as we stayed here in December(23) but to be fair, I've only just got over not still being on my Fav Island. Koh Chang is the greatest Island to spend time on and although I normally head straight to Lonely Beach, this time I wanted to introduce my wife to paradise starting with a slightly quieter location and work our way there.I've had Watercolours on my list of places to stay for a long time and all I can say is I wasn't disappointed and neither was my wife. This place is superb. It's peaceful, it's picturesque and from the moment you get to the moment you (sadly) have to leave, it's welcoming. Lotus greets you with a beautiful smile (and this doesn't leave her for your whole stay) and she is an great part of this family run hotel. The owners (really sorry, forgot names as I'm doing this from work) are also great, they are on hand at all times and make the whole stay a pleasure. The food is amazing, there are ample drinks to hand and you get to enjoy this while sitting on the decking that floats perfectly over the estuary. From here you have the extra (free) benefit of taking the kaykas or paddleboards out down to the beach where you can spend your day eating and drinking more. This truly is an beautiful place to stay. It's only around 5(maybe7) rooms so is perfect for that peaceful get-a-way.Thank you so much for the stay and the impeccable service (that didn't feel like service, more like we were at a friends home)
