Wonderful place!Surrounded by nature and with super helpful owners.We went in August with a group of 16 people. Even though we only booked two days before, Marcelo and his wife found suitable solutions for the whole group. Being low season they were not prepared for a large group but they accommodated our every request. Especially the breakfasts for everyone!The only negative aspect is the distance from the town center and the beach. Walking in the evening is a bit dangerous as it is on an unserved stretch of road.For the rest super recommended!

It truly felt like a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.What truly sets Macura Resort apart, however, is the warmth and hospitality of the owner. From the moment I arrived, they went out of their way to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. Not only were they incredibly attentive to my needs, but they were also genuinely interested in getting to know me as a guest. I cherished our conversations and felt like I was staying with a dear friend rather than at a typical resort.Overall, my experience at Macura Resort was nothing short of exceptional. Well, Macura…Location is good, it’s between White Sand Beach and Chai Chet.Rooms are okay, even though a bit narrow, would recommend to remove unnecessary stuff like creams and sunscreen for sale to provide more space, doesn’t matter for short term or long term customers.Renting a bike was nice, same as price.Macura is green place, it’s a big plus, as you get the serene atmosphere, owner was very lucky to buy this place with such beautiful garden.Breakfast was okay, the only thing was bugging - ants, which were everywhere over the table and sometimes you just couldn’t enjoy your food as they were over the top everywhere.One of the main issues we had - owner ignoring for 10+ days our complaints about some animal (perhaps a rat), which was eating cables of AC from outside and was making super noisy sounds not letting us sleep plus the AC started leaking as well after this.About the service - serving staff is nice, but I would recommend the actual management to work on the attitude and have some respect to people choosing Macura, as we had not very nice incident but we won’t go into details as it’s notThat important to express it here.Overall, would recommend Macura for couple nights.And would recommend to buy fruits from fruit stall just before Tesco Lotus not far from Macura. They have nice prices.

Catastrophe! The worst bed I have ever experienced while traveling (mattress ancient and sloppy, pillows bad, sheets bad and careless)! Total rip-off (1200 baht/night) for a double bungalow in need of renovation, no storage space for clothes and luggage in the room, everything is designed for profit, even the cheapest Nescafé is priced at 30 baht. The pool (above ground pool) is an embarrassing size, the operator's favorite word is “charge”!Once and never again!!!

Great service. Delicious breakfasts. There is a motorcycle parking lot, billiards, and a swimming pool.The garden is beautifully designed, a lot of greenery, well-groomed area, birds are singing.

Wonderful hotel. Quiet, a little away from traffic, cozy bungalows with all amenities, internet, air conditioning and refrigerator - minibar. Well-groomed landscape, noticeable diligence of the owners, wonderful atmosphere in general. The beaches of their white sand and azure sea are a couple of kilometers away. We rented a bike from the owner. Affordable prices, excellent location, professionalism of the owner - all this significantly distinguishes this hotel from many others on Chang. I recommend.

This resort is the place to go if you want to spend time in a relaxed atmosphere in a quiet surrounding.Marcel takes care of all your requests and is open for a nice chat now and then.The bungalow itself are nice and have everything you need. Air conditioning (which is important for me) is working properly and the terrace gives a nice shadow before or after you start exploring the island.Another big advantage: You can rent your scooter straight at the resort.Absolutely recommended!

Very clean and quiet. Beautiful garden and the nicest owners you can find in Thailand. They are always available to help you with anything you need. If you don’t need to stay directly at the beach, I can highly recommend this resort. They also rent out motorbikes and you can just go to any nearby beaches.
