The hospitality here was wonderful. We really felt welcome throughout the trip. Sitting on the sky deck was a perfect end to every night-- talking, talking, talking while enjoying perfect views of the ocean and Milky Way.

The open-air bath with a sea view is comfortable. There are mountains behind.There is also a bath in the next room with a single partition, so if you want to enjoy it quietly as a group, it might be best to go when it's empty.I think the accommodation is good.When I was leaving the car, there was a large rock near the exit, which damaged the bumper of the rental car.The people at the hostel who came to see me off should have been able to see me, but there was no particular reaction, so I deducted a star.

Two people stayed for 4 nights from August 26th to 30th, 2023.The cottage has a loft structure, but if two people are staying, there are two beds on the first floor, so you don't have to use the loft. It seems that the third and subsequent guests will sleep on futons in the loft.The surrounding equipment was as follows.·Wifi・Air conditioner・TV (I didn't watch it)・Small kitchen equipped with 1 IH cooking heater·microwave oven·refrigerator・Unit bath with heated toilet seat・Outdoor bath is Goemon type for one person・A washing machine with detergent that can be used for 100 yen per use in the outdoor common area (no drying function)Every day when I came back to the cottage, I received a glass-sized gift of sweets! Also, from the window of my room, I could see a hibiscus hedge against the backdrop of the towering rocky mountains of Yakushima, and I never got tired of watching the large, showy butterflies that are unique to tropical countries, constantly appearing to suck in nectar.There are no urban light sources around, so if the weather is good, you can see the beautiful starry sky from the outdoor terrace attached to the cottage. However, during the season we visited, squalls of rain clouds would arrive right away, so we had to be creative, like waking up at 3 a.m. to seize the momentary opportunity.Although the bus stop is fairly close, it would be quite inconvenient if you don't have a rental car. You can park your car in front of the cottage entrance.It was convenient because it was relatively close to the starting point for the Jomon Cedar Tour.Also, I thought I would definitely want to use it, so I posted it.
