There are alot of bad reviews based on misguided expectations so let me set them straight:1) Capsules only have a screen partition and are not sound proof:This is standard for capsule hotels, get a hotel if u want a door. The staff have no control over snorers, and ear plugs are available.2) Pods have no charging port.Yes they do.3) No lingering after check outHarsh perhaps, but if you were checked in that day to find the common space overflowing with people, would you be comfortable?4) No atmosphere to make friendsAs far as I could see there was no rule that banned talking in the common area, and people in japan whisper in common spaces out of etiquette. Perhaps the people who stay at Capsules are simply not the crowd you are seeking. Try a hostel.5) cleanlinessMy floor was clean. Your stay will depend on your luck of the draw of roommates. My only complaint would be that the sleeping rooms were a tad too warm and the showers were located on a different floor. Otherwise, no complaints about service, comfort, or hygiene. Would use again.

The cabin was hot and stuffy with no ventilation, the mattresses are thin, and the pillows are hard beanbags. Everything else about it is great. Staff was friendly and helpful, areas were very clean, and the location was convenient.Overall, I don't recommend. Upgrading the pods will make the price tag worthwhile.

Highly recommended if you are traveling alone or with friends and want to save money on lodging! Accommodation in Tokyo is already expensive, but the quality of the capsule hotel was good. The lounge was good too

The only good things here are price and location... would be much better if people followed the simple rules of the capsule area.

Was the worst service I’ve seen in Japan. They have a non-stay policy IN ALL AREAS if you need to check in / already checked out.I had to sit on the floor as they don’t even let you use the chairs. They also mentioned I cannot stay in the lobby area after check out.The bathrooms were quite filthy. The worst state I’ve seen in Japan. The bed was ok, but the hygiene was lacking.Wouldn’t recommend at all to stay here. The service was pretty bad.
