Thank you to Kadoya Hotel for making my first time in Japan a good one. The staff were always friendly and proactive about making sure I had plentiful water. Sure, the room was small, but it was a great spot of respite from the busyness of Tokyo. A special thank you to Kawamoto-san, who was especially kind to me.

Although it is close to Shinjuku Station, it is in a quiet and calm location, and there are several convenience stores nearby. The staff, who were dressed in button-down and chino pants, were very clean and accommodating. Time seemed to flow slowly and I was able to spend my time in a homely atmosphere without pretension. It was the day of the autumn festival on the south side of Shinjuku, and the front desk was in a slightly festive mood with festival lanterns and small stalls selling ramune noodles, masks, and other items. I felt at ease knowing that this is a hotel that is rooted in the local community. My friend who used the hotel with me was also very satisfied and will use Kadoya Hotel as a base when he comes to Tokyo in the future! The two of us are talking. Thanks to the comfortable time, I was able to spend three meaningful days without getting tired. It fits me very well so I give it 5 stars.
